I think putting anything on the car with tape is the top of the rice pile. But if YOU like the look and YOU want the scoop then get it.

| Re: Hood scoop?
I wish mine had it from the factory also I have been hearing reports of the corners lifting on the OEM hood scoops and that had me concerned about adding one. Last week I was out with a bunch of friends and on his 2011 GT the hood scoop was lifting on the back corner of the scoop so with that I guess Ill be passing on that mod for now.

If it did I'd take it back to dealer to replace. I know a new hood is in my future so not too concerned.

| Re: Hood scoop?
I thought about doing the hood scoop as well. I decided not to though because I'd rather buy a new hood with actual extractors versus hacking up my oe hood. At the end of the day though I do like the look, I don't think you could go wrong either way.

The ones that are factory on the 06 to 09 doesnt look good at all to me..looks like a hood ornament..The ones that have two and go down the whole hood and opens up on each side at the bottom of the hood look cool as hell..

Scoop it only if functional.. Never a bad idea to extract heat from any engine. I'm wanting to do vents on my 12, just cant find a kit, or anyone who has done it yet.
