Bad newS

Just thought i let everyone know i lost a piston due to a very lean email tune. Will be back soon with new motor. Hopefully will be back on road in about 3-4 months. I will post pics of the disassembly as well as the rebuild. Will be going with MMR's 1000 rotating assembly as well as there stage 3 heads, comp stage 3 cams. and MMR's new intake manifold.

How do you know that's the cause, and who wrote the tune?

bc everything is leading towards the tune. 1st tune i received was the wrong one. Had problems out of it then. received a new tune and it finished off the damage. Not going to put anyones name out there like that. I just payed the price of modding

There are plenty of people running tunes without a problem. Mine could have been bad fuel/ defect from ford themselves

http://www.modularmustangracing.com/2011_parts.htm

It is 4 and 6. Yea 20 over. and it wont have a turbo/ supercharger but i will run a 175-200 shot on the new motor.

Don't be afraid of a tune. It is something that just happens a bone stock motor can fail. Its a risk you take anytime you do anything. I didn't mean to scare anyone away from a tune.

For $400 bucks, I should feel a difference over stock. Took them 4 tunes just to get the cel to stay off after installing headers. I too heard good things, now I know first hand. The first tune ran like a scalded dog, but kept getting cels.

Why is your profile pic of you on a dyno yet you run a email tune? I find it hard to believe that any email tune nowadays is really lean, everybody and there dog knows where the a/f should be on these motors. You have already posted on here I think that you were running a Lund tune(I'm sure I could dig up the thread) and everyone knows he has the most aggressive tunes with the most engine failures to date.

Remote dyno tune session, go read up on it, summer time brings motor failures in large part due to heat

A Lund remote tune, figures. With the most aggressive tune possible will causes failures not summer time. Why isn't steeda, aed, bama getting failures in the summer?

Not disagreeing about tuning necessarily, but the "I blew up my engine" threads are most prevalent in the hot months and almost non existent in the cooler months

I won't get a tune at all until I get my roush 2300 sc then ford has to tune it. If their tune goes wrong then it's on them and not me since they back up their warranty with roush
