Down gradeing wheel size ?

I have the 19" Premium wheels on my 12GT and I have been looking for a while for a set of rims, I love the SVT rims so what would I gane or loose by going to a smaller rim size, oh here's what I'm looking at so far.

Re: Down gradeing wheel size ?

How so? American muscle is one of the best mustang aftermarket companies. I have the chrome 2010 gt500 style wheels and they are great.

I was on the fence about the real thing vs the look and pulled the trigger when the sale was to good to pass up. Also no real difference mileage. They also ride alto better the stock also. 18in tires are plentiful vs 19 r limited and $$$.

Nitto 555 IF u go to the site " late model restoration" they r the same tire wheel combo. I thought about lowering but i feel like the car is low enough right now. I only have about 800 miles on the wheels but have gotten plenty of thums up for them.

---------- Post added at 09:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:30 PM ----------

Nitto 555 275/40/18 18 in x 9.5 wide

Re: Down gradeing wheel size ?

Did they include the Tpms sensors, I did not see them listed in the included description ? If there not and I really don't care for the low tire warning but was wondering if there not installed will I get a warning light on my dash for low tires ?

A lot of us consider going to 18x9.5 from 19x8.5 wheels an upgrade. Depends if you want blingy wheels with itty bitty tires, or good looking wheels, with plenty of tire for performance driving. (I bet you can guess what camp I'm in)

If the tired are in good shape, I would imagine you could get about $1000 (give or take) for brembo wheels. I sold my 19" stock wheels with the factory all season pirellis (9k miles on them) for $750.

Re: Down gradeing wheel size ?

Ok so today I placed the order for the GT500 wheel pkg and was able to get a forum discount of 5% wich made the total $1657.73 and that included the TPMS sensors. Here is the link again if any one else is interested so now my stock wheels and tires are up for sale.

List high, like $1200 and let them talk you down to $1k. Makes them feel good, and you still get your money. Oh, and if it's Craigslist, take a gun, and a friend, who also has a gun.
