2012 heat extractors

I I have been playing around with putting heat extractors on my 2012 hood. Here are two ideas so far. These are just cardboard with metal inserts. Which one you like if any?

Re: 2012 heat extractors

If you figure it out, please post step-by-step directions. I'm interested. Someone is going to figure out a mod for this for sure.

I think it would look better if you side it all the way to the back of the cowl.

Re: 2012 heat extractors

is there any way to use some of the prefabricated heat extractors that are out on the market now? Based on the dimensions of the hood, if the extractors were to go on the hood bulge, they couldn't be very big at all. I am interested also!

Yea those look the best toward the rear of the hood. Overall pretty sweet design/idea! Keep us updated.

+1 to the rear. How are you handling drainage?

Haven't tackled drainage issue yet, but if I can get the extractors on, i have some ideas for the drainage. I have some other cut outs to post, and get your opinions on them as well..
