Roush CAI cleaning

My Roush CAI was dealer-installed in a new car and I have no instructions for it. The Roush site has a PDF, for it's only for installation.

What's the filter cleaning interval / procedure? I assume this is an oiled filter. Anyone have one and care to share? I am at 7200 miles ... it's doesn't look too dirty yet.

Re: Roush CAI cleaning

I believe you can get a standard kit at Autozone or any other parts store.

I'm not too sure if it's a dry or wet but if it is a wet just buy a cleaning oil kit from kandn and spray the cleaning spray on it let it soak for 10 min then wash it out from the inside out and let it dry all the way, after it is dry oil each outside seam with a good line of oil or if you get a spray can of oil spray each seam. Don't try to soak it just enough to add color( the color of the oil) and let it settle in and wipe off all the extra oil. Let the filter sit out for about an hour and put it back on. If it is dry just blow it off with light air pressure and it will be fine.
