Adaptive learning?

On my old challenger I could pull a fuse and it would reset the adaptive learning for the computer, since I am newly converted to the ford nation, my question is is there a fuse for this in the 13 mustang? Does ford even have this issue? Should or do I even need to disconnect the battery to do this?

Re: Adaptive learning?

What "issue"? Generally what adapting there is goes on all the time and is fine. there's no need to reset anything.

If you insist, pull the battery cable.

Yes the correct way is to pull the neg. cable. This is instructions from ford when you need to do a relearn on fuel trims ,tranny, and etc. Very common man. I have a copy of the instructions out the book if you want me to email it to you. Send me your e-mail if so.I will foward if so. If you send me email I would PM it to me.There is several little things you need to do.Like in neutral or park and brake up I think.Just let me know if you need it man

In the challenger when pulling the fuse for the ecu it would reset all variables and it would re learn the way you drive, if you did nothing but In town driving for a while then when you got out on the highway it would be sluggish..

Like I said I am new to the ford family, been mopar most my life.. I am sure there is not much of a difference between the two makes but when I did a search there was not much that came up.
