cobra jet manifold

Has any one heard any thing about the new cobra jet manifold? I know you need a new throttle body and a custom intake tubing made. Has anyone heard about gains or anything?

I've made a thread about this. I talked to the FRPP guys and they said it will make 25 hp over boss intake. Also will cost around $2000 with intake, TB, intake tube, filter and tuning

Re: cobra jet manifold

Hard to say if it's worth it or not, at least until some third party tuners get a hold of it. as of right now, only FRPP makes the intake tubing as far as I know, but I believe the GT500 TB can be used. now as far as intake tubing, probably gonna have to wait until Steeda/ JLT/ AirRaid/ (enter CAI company here) creates one.

If it truly is 25 hp over boss, that would mean gains of 40-60 hp over stock (depending on tuner). Yea, if the power levels hold true it could well be worth it, just sucks it you already bought into the Boss intake.

O yea and peak hp is created at 7750 RPMS, but again, if this is all true a good tuner could do WONDERS

Some people believe that the 25 hp only holds true if you have the CJ heads and cams as well... which I do not really believe that is the case, but at the same time 25 hp over boss is pretty outlandish. all speculation until we see dyno sheets!

...so expect a rash of used Boss intakes for sale from the HP junkies when this hits the shelves?
