SCT TUNE

Just keep reading about all the tunes and problems everyone is having ! I have a 2012 5.0 GT! I've had my SCT 93 race Tune on my last 2012 Gt and now on my new 2012 GT and I have no issues with mine! It runs very strong , throttle response is fantastic! I had it Dyno right after I installed the tune. It was running alittle lean on the air/fuel mix and the tuner readjusted it! Just with the tune I was putting 418.9 RWHP ! I took since than I have installed shorty headers and Magna flow cat backs! I took it to the1/4 track last weekend and ran it for the first time!
I spun alot and was beat of the line but on top end my top speed was faster! Just need good tires. But I'm very happy with my tune and plane on keeping it . Even with future moods!!

Color me a non-expert, but 418.9 RWHP seems pretty high for an otherwise stock GT.

Its not impossible... He prob got close to 20 hp with the tune and headers, add a factory beast into the equation and a happy dyno.. 418 hp more believable than the guy who tried telling people theres a stang with 450 hp from simple bolt ons and a tune haha.

Unless I misread the post, the figure was solely with the tune, and before the headers.

So you have two 2012 GTs, or was there an issue with the first that led to getting the second?

30HP on just a tune is possible with these cars, definitely nice gains. Was this a custom tune done on-site by a shop or a mail-order tune? It sounds like you got a custom tune from the guy, but I just want to clarify.

I bet you're close to 420 or more with the exhaust mods, ditch the cats and you'll be screaming.

I'm sorry to hear, and that shows some serious dedication! Didn't know if you had totaled or just didn't like the color

So you used the canned tune from SCT, not from any tuning shop, and then the guy tweaked it?
