So if I have a Supercharged V6, a stock 5.0 will keep up with me??? Is anyone here able to do math?

So if it isn't a real video then they built a fake track and had 3 cars get beat up by a modded V6 just for a video to be entertaining to watch? Wow what a large imagination there buddy. I understand what your user name means now!

Welp, I guess I don't know. I'll just wait for you to post those go pro videos of your bolt on V6 taking out Coyotes and LT1 cars.

Just to clarify a few things for everyone, If you have a 3.7 V6 Naturally aspirated and mt82 the best gearing is 3.73's because every single N/A cyclone record is held by a car with that gearing. I've done 13.09 @ 106.66 in my 3.7 and beaten a few coyotes before, granted they were stock and on street tires and i was on a drag radial. If we both had street tires it would have been a good battle. Had someone else been driving those GT's they could have beaten me. I own a 2014 5.0 also and went to the same track i always run at and pulled 12.90 @110 stock with muffler delete and on the same tires I ran my 3.7 on. The 5.0 is auto with 3.15. I invested in a Lethal Performance O/R X pipe and an MPT tune and just pulled 12.1 @ 116 with only that done. 5.0 Automatic gearing for N/A works best with 3.15 or 3.31 but a converter is needed to get the 60ft down. Boosted 5.0's should be running 3.55's or close there. Automatic 3.7's should be either 3.73 or 4.10. Manual 3.7's and 5.0's should be 3.73s or 4.10.

Here is that 3.7 that beat up those coyotes in the same screen as a stock coyote at a 1/4 mile track. Both are my cars

I remember a couple years back just getting pipped by the thickness on the paint at the stripe by a local shop owner's kid in a V6 with a huge procharger on it. My GT was top-shelf at that time, a BBP car with 3.73s and MT82, a sticky tire as well, iirc. I was suitably impressed and congratulated him on the win. I obviously didn't have the money into my car he did (only a Ford Racing tune and some better rear arms) but, that shouldn't diminish the achievement.

First pass of 12.9 @ 110 Was muffler deletes, ET Streets drag radials, racestars, and front runners. All else bone stock, but DA was also around 1600.

Second couple passes i made I added a MPT tune and Lethal Performance offroad X pipe and went 12.20 -12.22 five times in a row. Just went back to the track yesterday and ran a 12.18 @116 on only a tune and midpipe

I have no trouble with it. That said, my races are quite a bit more complex than a 1/4 mile straight line pull. 3.15s are not terrible for certain uses. They get decent highway mileage, and do make excellent autocross gears for CAM or ESP (the longer second gear is nice). They would not be my choice for drag or road racing.

Proving to my fellow racers that the disdain that some GT drivers have for V6 drivers is unfounded, one results archive at a time since 2013.

3.15's work excellent in drag racing, at least in the GT's. Honestly I could care less how they do in a V6.

I was speaking about the V8.

From what I hear, an 11.2 is an impressive time for a naturally aspirated GT, well driven.
