How Fast?

I've searched for a thread on this, but couldn't find anything. I have no experience driving fast and don't want to do the actual research to find this out, so I'm asking you guys. Completely bone stock... what's the fastest you've gotten the 13 GT up to? With the limiters and all still intact.

The limiter is set at 155, I'm sure. It should easily do that given the power it produces.

Re: How Fast?

It's a 2012, but 75 mph ...

Now, I think I read that the limiters stop the car at 155 or so. But I cannot confirm this.

EDIT: You beat me to it!

The fastest posted speed limit in my home state is 65MPH, so we're going with that. Between 110 and 120 blowing through the traps in the quarter mile though...

2011 gt (not entirely stock... And not a 13) - 113 mph 1/4 mile.

I have no doubt given some safe real estate , this thing will pretty easily hit the limiter.

Go to a dyno, you'll find the stock limit quickly and safely.

Seriously, I run out of balls around 120 since I don't have a roll cage, seats and harnesses. In all likelihood, you're toast at that point too.

My friend had his '11 5.0 w speed limiter removed to 165-170ish (speedo was tapped)on the way to Vegas.. Most I've done in mine is 120ish just cuz I don't have the berries I used to or much of a place to do it.. Did 140 in my stock 03 gt auto.. Scary for sure..

Yeah, she has plenty left in her. I will say that these things seem pretty stable up to around 140ish...it feels like doing 80 in a small 4-banger at that point. Just don't lane change too quickly or that big ol' american rear might get a lil loose on you.

Yeah I did 140 in my 2010 with 3.73s and I have 3.55s in my 2011 so it's pretty much a moot point to try to go that fast since I know is easily attainable. That was pretty effin fast, a real come to Jesus moment.

I've had my 2011 pegged out at 160 so not sure how much over that I was doing. My personal best is 175 in an Evo 8 and 175 on a hayabusa.

95? I hit that speed in 3rd gear! Lol Just teasing. These cars are pretty fast, and scary too. Treat it with respect cause it's a very powerful car.
