Or do it in vinyl like I did.. Then you can tear it off if you get tired of it.. If you do the roof then you def need to do something on the hood.. Looks naked w/o it.. The vinyl I used is made by oracle and is supposed to be guaranteed not to mess up the paint for up to 5 years.. Not to mention WAY cheaper than paint

Do you have a pic of your roof wrap? How much more less did it cost to wrap it?
Does the wrap get old or loss color??

But I was talkin to someone on here the other day about it and he was quoted like $250-275 I think.. I'll check my msgs and make sure.. I'll also snap a pic..

The gloss has a lil bit of an orange peel look to it.. Not BAD but enough that I went w the matte instead..

It also depends on what down the road you're going to do as far as accents and rims. Are you going to go with gloss or flat

Plasti dip the hood vents. Cheap, easy and actually kinda nice to do something so visible over nite (and yourself). I have had a lot of compliments since and one girl say hi at a stoplight

Sure, that and I rock a mullet.

May be coincidental, but I give plastidip the nod here. A little to old for me tho, think cougar, so I grinned and looked str8 ahead. In a pinch... She'd do tho

Does the plasti dip come gloss too?
Because i want it to have the same shine as in the paint of the car.

No, it's a matte, textured-plastic look. Matches the grill well. The reason I did plasti is you can peel it off if you don't like it. The vents are not painted OEM, they are a colored plastic, so long term I want to buy black ones, but have had 0 luck finding them.

In any case, a few people have told me to keep it as is, the rubber look of plasti looks 'mean' on the hood.

If you find a place to purchase new PLEASE message me

If you want a "gloss" plasti-dip, you can visit their website. They sell a clearcoat that you apply over the matte plasti-dip and it makes it have the gloss look. They sell other colors besides black on the site, as well.

I just found a local body shop that would paint them gloss black for $40. They give a lifetime warranty that the paint will not chip or come off.
That sounds like a good deal!! It will look much better than if i do it with a pray can lol

It is a body shop i did business with when i had and accident not so long ago. They are super professional, but they know me maybe that is why they are giving that price.

$40?!
I was quoted $170... There is a pretty big difference there.

Don't knock the 'pray can' before you see it. Yes, sounds trashy, but I youtubed enough to see it was actually a great idea.

Anyway, not going to pay 170 for paint, I assume that's about the cost of new ones that I plan on buying once I find

Prices on painting vary considerably.. Depends on where your from, who the shop is, etc.. I had my window Louvers painted for $100 and they look great.. Spray can is also easy though just take your time.. If you have any experience using spray cans then it won't be bad at all.. But $40 is hard to beat especially w a warranty.. I say do it and if they don't turn out right make them repaint them till they are!

The owner doesnt usually do small things like that because they are mainly a collision shop. But like i said i know him from previous, he wanted to buy the bmw i use to have but back then i didn't want to sell it.
