Could you post a pic to see how it looks. I might do it to give it a light shine.

Re: Plasti Dip

Here are the wheels on my old stang and the rear emblem:

Only plastidip on my new stang is my 5.0 badges so far. Was able to keep the red dot this time, like it a lot better.

No it's just the stock decklid panel and the plasti dipped faux gas cap. I'm actually taking it off and replacing it with a carbon fiber panel with no gas cap.

Buy it in home depot for 5 dollars.
Clean the surface super good, and give 5 coats, but make the first 2 light, dont try to cover everything the first time.
For better answer go to youtube and they teach you step by step.

This looks super nice. I plan to do mine if I ever get the time, so it's great to see what they're gonna look like. Great job.

These look sick! I'm painting mine tomorrow. I'm going to try a primer, matte black and then matte clear. I really hope it turns out well, because new ones are about $300 bucks!

That emblem looks killer! Did you tape it off, that seems like it would be hard. Can you send me a close up pic?

That is the joy of plastidip, you don't have to tape it off. There is already a gab between the center part (that has the GT) and the outer part. So you just peel off the part in the center.

Here is a closer picture:

Thanks for posting this, man. It looks really good!

I just bought some black pastidip today, and I'm gonna paint the vents on my 2013 Race Red GT. So, it's good to know that it will look nice.
