Well for me it gets annoying because its a forum for new threads not threads that have been asked, for 2 years every day....I like hearing about people and how they enjoy their set up, post videos or whatever but we are getting tired of people asking what exhaust they should get? Am I right everyone???

I'm cool if there are questions related to choosing one verses the other. Or questions with installation, fitment, etc. But, yeah, it does get old I guess.

Tip for thread starts on burnt out topics... Try to work parts of your question in the thread title. Then, get your question out there and split other questions or pondering in a separate paragraph from your original question.

This question is for everyone who has good insight on the topic. I just bought a 2011 GT today. The only part of the car that is after-market is the exhaust. I couldn't see what the brand was today and it's too dark now so I can post it tomorrow, but it sounds great and very loud when you really step on it. My question is really a concern. When I'm going around 85 and below in 6th gear, the exhaust is coming in so loud through the car that it's almost a little too much. It kind of drowns out the radio. It's pretty much like the sound the wind makes when you roll one window down going down the interstate in a van or suv. Any suggestions/opinions/advice? I just want to make sure that it's not vibrating hard enough to crack the exhaust manifold or something like that.

The Flowmaster cat back 2 chamber setup I had on my last Mustang was always kinda annoying on the highway. The Flowmasters seem to all have a droan that gets loud after a certain RPM.

Like azure says, flowmasters seem to drone the most, sounds like you may have the Hushpower or outlaws, but can't say for sure, you want loud with no drone for cheap get roush, loud and expensive get borla

So I just purchased the pipe bomb axel-back exhaust from AM. Anyone with experience with these? I loved the sound of them in the video, so hopefully they don't disappoint.

I am selling a pype bomb axle back for 175. It should still be in the classified section.

Honestly they became so loud I couldn't enjoy the car like u wanted to. The drone in mine is horrible but I have a xpipe and I got the pypes super system so I don't know if that makes it any louder than just a axle back.

My flowmasters don't drone at all. I have the American Thunder 3" catback with xpipe and no cats. 2k RPM on the highway having a conversation at a normal volume is very achievable.

That's because all the wonderful HP blew the drone right out of'em!

Totally agree. Went with the traditional 40 series non stainless. Not worried about rustimg due to living in a state where snow is rare. Many compliments. Only possible drawback in other peoples opinions is popping of exhaust when shifting or letting off gas. Doesn't bother me at all. $260 parts and labor.

Ok I went outside with a flashlight last night and saw they're Hushpower, which after a little research told me that the 2,000 rpm drone is normal. This is the first set of after-market exhaust I've had in 10 years. They sound great. 6th gear going 80 just sounds like the windows are going to blow out, but if it bothers me too much I'll just swap them out for something a little quieter. I don't know though because you can't beat that 3000, 4000 and 5000 rpm purr when you're mashin' it.

Crap. I heard about a little bit about drone, but I saw a lot of claims saying the drone was not true and it was noticeable at 2000rpm on the 3.73 only.

Does anyone else have experience with the pype-bomb axle back with only the axleback and no other mods? I'm really nervous now....
