Re: Roush cai

My car came with the dealer installed "Roush Package" (lowering strings, CAI, exhaust, shift knob and boot, and some bling) so I have the Roush intake.

Generally, I think most people think "no tune required" intakes are a waste of time, however I have a Steeda 93 tune and it works great with the Roush CAI (I did tell them it was a Roush intake when I ordered the tune).

It adds some cool under-hood noise. Performance? No idea. Never had the car without the intake.

There is another intake (Airraid?) that requires a tune but includes some sort of adapter to restrict the flow somewhat to make it "no tune required" - get that one and then if you ever DO want a tune, you'll have a good intake that the new tune can take advantage of. Don't paint yourself into a corner.

Re: Roush cai

I have it and I to got it from the dealer( for free) And I have a tune from Lund,BBR, and Brenspeed! I have dyno'd all three tunes and tracked all three tunes. With the intake an 3" off road x-pipe and flowmaster hushpower exhaust I put down SAE corrected 418,420,410rwhp.. And have run consistently low 12's at 116-118 mph

Yea you get a 6% discount from AM for being a member here. And they do also price match if that's cheaper.

C&L does a no tune also. You can remove the insert when you are ready fir a tune. They have flow graphs in their site showing stock, no tune w/insert, and w/out insert for a tune. The no tune flows a but more than stock, and enough under where you don't need a tune. I may be getting one next month.
