2013 Trunk floor panel....

I don't know if it is the same on the 2011s or 2012, but my floor panel in the trunk (that covers the spare) just kinda lays there and does not latch to anything. I was wondering if this actually bothered anyone else or if anyone has done any mods to correct this.....the only reason it bothers me is because when it moves it rattles a lot.

Gripping the wheel, his knuckles went white with desire! The wheels of his Mustang exploding on the highway like a slug from a .45. True death: 400 horsepower of maximum performance piercing the night...This is Black Sunshine-White Zombie

I know in my 10 its attached to the carpet. The board is pretty substantial, like 1/2" thick. Unlike the Foxes that had like a 1/4" board sandwiched inside the sound deadener... Maybe they changed them in the 13?

The last several cars I've had all do the same thing. No reason really to change it when gravity works. If yours is rattling, probably it's not laying in the right spot or came loose from the carpet?

Yeah, it is a real thing of beauty. Just finished spraying bed liner and applying dynamat over it in the entire rear of the car. That floating piece and the associated liners on the right and left are testaments to minimalization performed by Ford. Doesn't take much to improve on 'em.

Yep. I'm looking for a way to improve the trunk area too. I do have a spare but that cover that looks like it should be anchored behind the rear seats (as it was in my '01) just lays there. I also notice that there are wire bundles that it just lays over too. I need to mount a Bazooka sub, and probably a nitrous bottle back there and the flat areas on either side of the spare aren't quite as big as my last Mustang. Not sure what to do just yet.
