How the hell do you guys afford this ****!? I thought buying the car last month was a huge (well worth it) dent in the savings account and now I'm sitting around wondering which mod won't break the bank all together haha .
I introduced myself to the wonderful world of credit card debt. Just accepted the fact that I will never be debt free and I can't take any money to the grave with me. So enjoy it while you can.

That's some pretty stupid advice. Most of you still owe money on the quickest depreciating asset you'll ever own. Then you're gonna go further in debt (unsecured at that) to further depreciate the price of your car.

Sorry, but you don't have to go into more debt to mod your car. If you save that money up front you don't have to blow money on interest and can spend more on your mods.

Just my opinion...although it's a wise choice. I'd rather put $350 a month in the car fund than use it to pay off a never ending debt.

It was never intended to be advice.

Man, does somebody piss in your Cheerios every single morning? At least no one would ever accuse you of always sugar coating a situation. Lol.

Maxing out credit cards to mod your car is only a bad move if you can't pay your balance every month. I'm building my credit so I do buy parts for my car with credit and I always keep my revolving balance at 20%.

Also, for anyone else who is reading this. Stay away from creditors with a annual fee and a bs apr that fluctuates with the market. Capital one, Chase and PayPal extras are the three I carry. All three of them have no annual fee (for me) and interest between 15.99-21.99%. I know that's a lot but like I said, I'm building my credit and eventually I'll have a credit worthiness of a better apr.

I don't think smozilla was encouraging anyone to go spiraling downward into deep debt so much as to say that credit cards have helped. I've used my cc plenty of times because my mods are usually impulse buy, but generally pay off the cc before I buy my next mod.

Haha tell me about it. I am on a freeze right now as I will be paying almost 200$ more a month on gas than I previously was with my new job and have to budget that in. Thankfully my new job pays a whole lot more.

More than half of my mods were paid with my own money. The other half on a credit card, to which I have never made a late payment, no overages, and always pay way more than the minimum. I have a 11.9% interest rate with discover and chase. I in no way recommend maxing of credit cards or even getting them in the first place. If I could have done it all with my own cash, I would've. Your advice is sound, lowflyn, I wish I had the saving abilities and patience that you posess. But I don't. So in the mean time I charge stuff if I need to and buy stuff when I can. But I stand strong knowing that I will never be debt free and I'm ok with that. And I don't look at my car as a depreciating asset, I will never sell it or trade it in. It took too long for me to get it and when I'm ready for another it will be when this ones paid off.

Didn't mean for that to come off as it did. I just know the majority of our members are young and just beginning to build credit. Just don't like hearing stories of someone filing bancruptcy over car parts.

There is nothing wrong with credit cards. I use them and pay them off on a monthly basis for the reward points. I'm the world's worst impulse buyer but have taught myself I can only spend what's in my pocket.

Just one more thing though...why do you feel you'll never be debt free. It's really not all that hard if you apply yourself. My plan is to be 100% debt free in the next 10 years. It will all pay off at that point with the extra cash i'll have instead of mortgage/car note/etc...

No worries. I understand what you meant.

I know I'll always have a mortgage and a car loan for sure. I get tired being in the same place for to long. I have no problems with a car payment either. If I didn't have monthly payments, I would just waste the money on other stuff. So I spend my money on the responsibilities I have now.

Haha yeah true, only reason for dry pavement is so I can verify that the bmr k member resolved the 2nd gear lock out. I think I'll be good to go but a bit of dry pavement and a good launch will confirm that.

Is it just me, it's hard to tell by the pic, but that CC plate on the left welds look horrible.

It looks like they never ground it down after welding. They're steeda so they have a warranty so I'm not worried about it.

Welds are not supposed to be ground, unless you can't weld.

i have seen grinding on beads in the past from some great welders, something about making it smooth to the metal your welding to so it looks clean might have something to do with that.

2012 GT Premium Pkg - manual trans - Kona Blue - Black leather with white stripe interior

Eibach lowering springs
RTR front chin spoiler
Boss intake
Steeda CAI
Steeda Tune
SCT tuner
Barton bracket
X-pipe
Pype bomb AB
Tint
Exterior blackout all shiny parts like
Pony in the grill, 5.0 on fender, round emblem rear
Future plans - Boost - I always over do it with my dd and it goes into race car or track car mode and then I get another dd and the cycle repeats! I always say I'll just mod it "a little", lol
I've got an old Mopar with a 408 stroker, 76mm Turbonetics, Methanol etc. I've had several very fast turbo cars and I generally prefer the turbo over a supercharger although my SC experience was with a Procharger. Too many "belt" issues... I've run NOS on a few vehicles, still hooked up in the old Mopar, just never use it because it makes 745 RWHP on 12#.

Eh, your money would be better spent on things other than a tb. I mean if you want it, buy it, it's your money, but if I may suggest I would lean towards more suspension mods for sure. Either way, good luck.

What do you mean because I'm going to have a turbo on it by the summer of next year so I would want a bigger tb am I right?

Not necessarily, there are plenty of guys pushing 6-700+ with the stock tb. It's been proven that aside from a minimal hp gain and better throttle response that an aftermarket tb does very little else for a coyote motor, n/a or FI
