I took my time. Im a slow worker when it comes to doing sthing ive never done. well if i didnt put the wrong bracket on the first time then i would have finished it in 4 or less hours. Ill zip through the driver side easily. Maybe two hours since i know where to cut and grind and where all the bolts are.

i checked that but its good. It still seals the same. The window still does the automatic quarter inch drop when door is opened and raises after closed correctly. i sprayed water with a hose pipe to check for leaks

Very nice! Now you'll have to do this on the wife's car.

Not a fan. But I gotta say for never doing this before, your doing a helluva job. Looks good. How are the gaps around the door, they don't look bad in the pic.

BTW, I totally understand the reasoning behind doing this. I think it just leaves a bad taste in everyone's mouth from all the import guys doing it.

There is maybe a 1/8" difference than stock between door and fender now, but not enough to notice. I could probably work it in closer but its not even noticeable.

My wife and daughter loves it. I demonstrated it to my wife, and she asked "what is wrong with your door?" "Is it supposed to do that?" She thought she broke it, lol. After she played with it awhile she admitted she loved it.

Thanks,

http://mrbodykit.com/ is where i ordered them. They don't keep them in stock. There made after order by Vertical Doors Inc. then shipped. They have had these doors built for awhile and just recently improved them to open wider and higher.

For the others, don't let the doors confuse you to what direction I'm headed. If i was going the ricer route then i would debadge my car, twin turbo it, put some funky front and back carbon bumper on it; unpainted of course, a triple stacked wing, and find every sticker from every vendor and stick them on the car. im proud of the mustang and i am only drawing more attention to an awesome machine. Theres too many mustangs on the street that are often overlooked, and this is why i want to have the loudest, cleanest, and sexiest 2013 gt in the city. Im willing to take risks, but only if i know its for the better of the car and the mustang community. Thanks to all who like and regardless i do appreciate everyones opinions, negative or not. It's all good

I think they are really cool because they don't have to open vertically. I can think of times I wouldn't want that.

Very cool.

Haters gonna hate...

Ok, I don't actually use that term, but seemed appropriate.

If you are going to stay true to the muscle/sports car theme with the rest, I think this is a very cool way to set yourself apart. You could possibly have the only sling blade doored '13 GT out there.

Lookin good man. Wife's side first?
I might do it as it goes with my kinda modern theme, but I have a very long list of mods I need first, so no time soon. Was curious how mrbodykit is too. Nice work!

Mrbodykit in my opinion is worthless. They can't track packages to save their life. i emailed them to ask the status of my doors and louvres and they said it was still processing. a few days later i get a infonotice from ups. wtf? it ended up being the doors. Really, 800.00 package with no tracking number?? I still have no idea where my quarter louvres are? are they being painted? are they being shipped? Needless to say i would not recommend them.

I think it's awesome. It's no more rice IMO than a sub-woofer in your trunk. Ricer is just as much an attitude as it is the stuff you slap on your car.

You're going to get some attention in parking lots ... be prepared!

Wow I would hate to hear what you have to say about 3- 12's in the trunk of a mustang! All though they are not in there anymore. Bit I'll tell you this my car never hooked up better with the weight in the back.

not really you can get visul mod that might go hand and hand with performance, like lightweight rims, wider tires , wind splitters, etc
