I'm not feeling it. It looks too exotic to me.

Really wish they would keep the american muscle look rather than worrying about making it look European

NEW STANG

I like it, looks good and new to me. Things change, did anyone really think the Mustang was going to stay the same for years and years?

Idk, I love it. I love how it looks more euro, exotic and sporty. But I'm more of a sports car guy then muscle. That body with IRS and a 5.0 under the hood? I couldn't say no. Would trade in my 12 in a heartbeat! Well, might be tough as I do love my 12 lol

My thought is this ford dropped the ball back in 1958 when the thunderbird was no longer a 2 seater. The thunderbird was fords answer to the corvette. Chevy always kept the corvette their 2 seater sports car. That's how the thunderbird should have stayed. Then the mustang came out and it was a poor mans sports car. It caught on very well and then Chevys answer was the camaro. The mustang and camaro have been against each other ever since. The corvette was on its own now cause the thunderbird was a family car. Now every year the corvette gets more exotic and more expensive and the average joe can't afford one now. I slowly see this happening to the mustang as ford makes it more and more exotic to compete with the corvette. Before you know it the mustang is gonna be over priced and untouchable by the average Joe or Jane. The mustang will not be as popular as they are now or have been cause of the price! The mustang to everyone in my mind has always been a cheap and fast car. Is the mustang gonna get to the point where the ford GT was or Dodge Viper I hope not.

Sorry just my $00.02

I hope that they apply the logic they had when they made a 03 cobra a optainable sports car with a IRS and handles good and can also go zo6 hunting for lest cost.

I think it would look a lot better in real life. I like it a lot. The mustang has to evolve sometime. As long as its fast as he'll than I love it. The 11-13 ones are FAST tho .. I wonder how they can improve on that hummmm

I can see where your going but the Mustang is still a cheap sports car. Yeah, it's gone up in price a lot but so has everything else. It's just inflation. Find me a brand new car that you can get for around $30-35k that beats a Mustang 5.0. Or even find a $22-26k car that beats the 3.7. You can't. It's the best performing all around car even close to it's price range. I say ford brings back the Ford GT if they want a 2-seater sports car. Would love to see that.

If I become a millionaire, the Ford GT would be one of the first (of many) cars I would buy. Love those!

Ford has talked about bringing a "super car" back into production. The latest rumors I heard was it will be under the Lincoln name plate.

There was an interview about 6 months back where an Exec.at Ford said they expected Chevy to drop some serious weight and they were going to need to do the same. If they drop 500 lbs and keep 400+ horses with a v8, I may not be keeping my '13 as long as I thought.
Yeah, it is euro and I am not in love iwht it, but things do have to change. Euro is not bad though. 50/50 (or close) weight distribution, IRS and 3200 or less lbs... this could be badass

Gentleman and ladies,
I completely understand how you don't want the next generation mustang to look euro and retain its musscle car look. Its evolution. The design has to change with the times and the retro look is done. Its awesome but Ford needs to move forward if they want to be on top again in sales with this musscle, sports car. This is the second year in a row that Chevy has sold more Camaro units than Ford sold Mustang's. The mustang needs a whole new fresh look in order to be king again. While I think my 11 stang is awesome, I personally loved the look of that picture shown in Road and Track. Evolution, in order to move forward one can not stay focused on the past and that's what Ford has done with the current stang since 2005. Time to move forward.

I agree with above.... Its not ugly... As long as it sports the 5.0L and keeps the muscle car sound its gonna be a pretty nice contender... I wont give my s197 away for it tho, i love the retro since the day is came out in 2005 its old school look with modern technology.... Thats how we role

I love the retro too but Ford is loosing sales here in the U.S. to Camaro and this had never been before. Ford always outsold Camaro in numbers but not for the last two years. Even though every write up picked the mustang as the better vehicle over the Camaro, the Camaro still outsells. Why, because people love the look of it. Its fresh, hot and had euro look yet people love it. Ford has to change with the times and the 2015 stang with be awesome like the previous mustangs .

the price of newer cars will constantly go up as does everything else, they cant keep selling it for the same price, it has to go up and will just how everything goes. Back when I first purchased a new car it was a 2001 v6 and it was 15k, in 2012 the base of base is still 20k~ but the new options dont help matters vs what was offered back in the day.

Also consider the new standard they have to build to and new saftey stuff they have to include to meet gov. regulations that they didnt have to back in the day either. Just keeps on adding to the price.

As long as it keeps its sound and performance. Ford just needs to stay with its roots. The look isn't awful and im sure the actual floor model will look mean.

With the new design Ford will have die hard mustang fans that hate it and some will love it. Ford will loose mustang customers and gain newbie mustang customers. Its evolution, and Ford needs to move forward with its design of the next generation stang. You aren't going to make 100 percent of people or customers happy with everything or its design. If Ford kept with the retro stang it would stay second and keep getting beat by the Camaro sales.

The mustang costs less, is a better vehicle all around than the Camaro, this from all the car write ups and in my opinion, yet It outsells the mustang 2 years in a row. Soon to be 3 and 4 years until a new and fresh design in 2015. The Camaro has euro design in the exterior and that is what's selling. If the 2015 mustang takes on a more exotic look then Ford will generate way more sales than they have in the past few years with its stang and regain being king of the musscle car wars.

Funny, from the first pic in a car mag when it was released, I've always thought the A5 had the silhouette of the mustang (current gen).
