Nxt step axle back

I'm taking delivery on my 13 5.0 any day now. Exhaust is my first mod. Just looking for some feedback on nxt step axle backs. Saw a couple of YouTube clips and thought they sounded good.
Thanks,David

everyone has their own opinion on what "sounds best". I would recommend going with a high quality, stainless setup so you wont have rust issues. Many have chrome tips but polished would be nicer to me and last longer (and can be polished etc) but not sure anyone makes them.

Borla Stringer may be the same as Ford Racing (used to be). I have the stinger muffler and like it but my car's motor is different so sounds wont be the same.

Hey how do you like the bassani exhaust. I'm thinking of buying those but not sure yet. Are they loud. This is My first mustang by the way. A buddy of mine has the American thunder and they sounded good.

Heard it a while back and wanted to get it on my SS. Honestly, haven't heard it on a 5.0 in person but the YouTube sounds the same. I read that there is a slight drone between 1800 and 2200 rpm. I'm willing to take that chance if it sounds like I recall. Many people a hate drone, I'm ok with it as long as it is not so loud it reverberates thru the cabin or can't be offset with the radio

I have heard one car with Bassani--not sure what else was done--and to me it droned really badly when he drove away. I was glad I didn't have it on my car. As for the nxt, never heard of that one.

I love the Roush axle backs. I would check them out on Youtube, but I think they sound fantastic. But I have them on a six, so the eight might not be the same.

Not the best thing to hear right AFTER the purchase :/

It's all opinion though, hopefully the sound is what I'm looking for

Keep us updated, I am very interested in what you have to say after you have them on.

Will do. Just tracked the shipment... Monday. Sucks, I planned this as a Saturday morning project. Will do the exhaust Tuesday night and post sound clips

As much as I love the performance of the Coyote, I still think the 4.6 sounds way better. I remember the first time I heard one start, run and rev. My exact thoughts were "what have they done?" Then I test drove one (the salesman's with SLP exhaust) and loved the performance so I bought one.

I almost cried when I started it up and couldn't even hear the exhaust. My dad thought I was crazy that I was talking about putting exhaust on my car that I had only had for days, until I took him for a ride and his exact words were, "I hate to say it, but this exhaust has to go!"

Anyways ... enough of the thread derail. Looking forward to hearing the Bassani exhaust. I haven't heard anything bad about it other than the one comment above about some drone. The 2013s definitely sound different than the 2011-2012 models. I don't know why, or what they changed, but the exhaust note is different.

As far as 4.6's go my 04 Mach 1 sounded awesome! It had an x pipe with high flow cats and flowmasters. I hope I can get my Coyote to sound as good.
I guess no one on hear has the Nxt Steps? Leaning more towards Roush but maybe the new quad tip GT500 setup. Decisions......

I'll be interested in what you think. Like I said, I've only heard the one car and am not sure of what else was done with it. That, and it's just my own opinion--the owner liked it which is the opinion that really matters.
