L&m engines

Ok so i been talking with this company about maybe building me an engine rated at 1000hp+ they seem the best in the business and today email me a quote for the entire package (no blower included) the whole engine rebuilt from top to bottom would cost me $12,000 and about 8,000 for a 800 hp engine.
Power by the hour gave me a quote for their twin turbo kit for $9500 labor

---------- Post added at 05:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:25 PM ----------

Included and everything else, so at the end it would be 20,000 for around 1000hp, my car is already payed for so i might do it.
What do u guys think??? Could i get better prices somewhere else?

First off, that engine would be awesome but that's waaayy expensive. I would suggest buying a frpp aluminator which is good for 1000 hp according to frpp. Get one for around 7300 then sell your engine for whatever you can get for it. Say you only get 2300 for yours, u just saved 7k. Second, and more importantly you do know that 1000 hp will cost ALOT more than just the engine and the blower, correct? Fuel system, suspension, shortly,if not right off the bat transmission, so on and so on. Plus plenty of tuning and I don't know how street friendly it would be? That said I'd love to see it and if that's what you're looking for go for it!

Yea power by the hour will take care of the rest of the supporting mods for that kind of power. But nobody else even wants to make me a quote bc they say it is too much work and never done it before, if you guys know of a shop that would do this kind of work plz let me know.

I do know that Michael Rauscher(the "m" in l&m engines) is good friends with Jon Lund. Probably start by talking with him I'd say.

There's a reason cobra jets have a 5.0 and not the 5.8 or 5.4.
Will supporting mods, these 5.0s can be nasty...and reliable.

True, the stage 3 roush 2013 is faster in acceleration than the 2013 gt500.

I was asking about this a while back. Seems roush doesn't publish these. Did u find some data on this?

And Roush tune is very conservative. Roush stage 3 with vmp tune is an awesome overall ride. A buddy just got his tuned...I'm jealous.
