So i went to the somewhat local drag strip this morning for test and tune. Well it totally sucked for me. The track was not cooperating at all this morning. The Blue Demon was not hooking up at ALL. My first run was so bad I just cruised it after the 60 ft.

Second run; car went side ways at the top of second gear. I ALMOST hit the guard rail, followed by a phone pole, only to end up in the dirt. Lucky i was able to correct most of the car. Ended up hitting a stack of old tires they put out there around the phone poles.

Went home and lucky was able to take off all the scuff marks from the impact. There was some re snapping of the bumper involved and car looks good again. I was very lucky on this one. There is one black mark on the bumper where the paint did get rubbed off by the tries. Time to stripe.

I know how it feels man. I have a nice scrape on my bumper too. You can't see mine unless you look REALLY close tho, but I know it is there and it hurts knowing it exists.

Umm, what "drag strip" was this that had a phone pole in the middle of it? Mine's NHRA approved and I don't see any poles to hit anywhere near the racing surface, cept perhaps the tree if I really f it up bad.

Technically they are light poles. I guess i should have waited longer after they prepped it.

seriously, light poles near the racing surface? No K rail or anything between you and them? That's so frickin' jackleg it's unbelievable. It this a certified track by a sanctioning body and, which one? Because I want to know who's tracks to avoid.

Sorry about the car but, given the circumstances you describe, it's could have been alot worse.
