Roush installed by ford dealer

Anybody running a roush charger first off whats your opinion on it? Secondly has anyone had it installed by a ford tech for the warranty? Whats the price tag for the whole deal? Any input would be great, really considering just adding onto my loan. Its just money right hahah.

a friend of mine had the roush charger installed on her GT, cost was 7-9k if I remember correctly, they never got the tune right, lied about it, wouldnt really do anything for the car. She ended up having to have it custom tuned to get it right (thus voiding the warranty)

That would be my issue, the tune they give you is rather crappy so its a one size fits all and wont give you the best performance, more safety. They have came a long way so might be better now~

My dealer which is the same one that ozzy goes to, is selling them for 6000 retail but they give 1000 off for being in the mustang club plus some other discount, the installation is 1000 but i got a local shop that would do it for 800.

I live in Canada and they quoted me at 7100 for the sc and then another 1000 for install so roughly 8500 with taxes etc. it costs more for me cause it has to be shipped and there's duty etc

Dealers always bother me in terms of paying for any kind of installation. Mostly because I quoted three Ford dealers for gear swaps, and all three were between 1200 and 1500 including parts. I only did this was just to have it covered under warranty.

Local Mustang only shop did it for 550 all parts included, plus tax. FRPP gears.

If you are talking to a shop that has never done one, or has done very few and either been screwed on how long it took, or what have you, then they are going to charge you an arm and a leg to play it safe and make sure they come out positive.

WOW, did it come with forged internals and a full exhaust lol jk
That is crazzyyyy high, down here there is a lot of competition between dealers and shops so we get alot of choices.
THERE IS NOWHERE LIKE MIAMI

I did the Edlebrock E-force #1588 on my 2012 GT. Did it through the dealer which I think was wise. Cost around $9k installed. Had to work with Edelbrock support to get the tune right, but the support was top notch and the end result is 20 mpg in the city, 540 hp / 509 ft/lbs, and I earned enough dealer rewards points to save about $500 on another mod. The s/c will turn the car into a monster that is always trying to get out. Be careful with the pedal.

Just had my stage 2 TVS2300 installed by Ford cause wanted to keep warranty on blower. The kit from Roush is $6,600 and install for me was $1,500. So if someone can get $6k for all that either the dealer is pushing up the cost of the vehicle to compensate or just trying to get it off the lot.

As for reviews, love it! The dealer did an awesome job on the install. Check out my garage for pics.

I too live in Canada and got it installed for 7500$ including 15% taxes and roush boost gauge.
Install alone was 800.
This was done by a Ford/Roush dealer.

How about the tune? Heard some bashing of the roush tune here and elsewhere but it is always a guy that uses SCT with a 'insert whatever' tune. This is a serious consideration for me. By spring I will have a complete suspension and should have about 6k on the motor. I think tha is enough to know if there are factory issues and ready to bump the power

Without seeing a dyno run I can't comment too much but from natural feel it pulls pretty hard. I'll stick with this tune cause of the warranty.

Or... That is the perfect time to install it... The shop can take their time... And when you get back, it's done!!!
