Either of these are catastrophic to the motor and will cause failure from detonation.

Also according to Shaun at AED, fords stock tune would cause the coyote to run lean at wot and high rpms, and they did this to keep the torque up at higher rpms. This has since supposedly been fixed by many many tuners as well as ford, and again according to Shaun, Bama is one of 20+ tuners that have implemented this AFR fix.

At the end of the day, if the motor is going to fail then it will do so, and when that time comes you can either look to every parts manufacturer and distributor to place blame on, or you can realize that you as the consumer purchased these parts knowing full well that every time you mod it is a little bit of a gamble, and take responsibility for your own actions.
Grabber said it pretty well. It's been determine that the Cylinder #8 issue that was accruing when the new 5.0 was released wasn't related to the tunes. The issue was happening on bone stock cars as well.

Ford and all of the best tuners in the world have figured out how to keep these motors safe. However, we understand that the thought can still be scary. That's why we offer the cylinder # 8 warranty. We want our customers to feel safe regardless of what issues are out there. You can rest easy knowing that AmericanMuscle/Bama will always have your back no matter what!

I hope this helps!

That was what I had read when I researched into this when I got my tuner from y'all. I noticed people with stock cars having the issue.

Peace of mind. Thanks Dan.

It's great to know since I have a bama tune on the way, and my car is bone stock, aside from an axleback.

And someone said its hard to get in touch with them......well not for me cus every time I emailed them they responded the next day and when I've called they picked up the phone on like maybe the 4th ring lol

Wow you're one of the lucky ones then! Most people don't get responses so quickly, and its not necessarily bad customer service, just a high volume of work

Im curious, how long does it take to get the tunes back from BAMA? I sent mine in last Tuesday, but I still have not received them via email? I am supposed to receive the tuner itself tomorrow, and I wanted to make sure I could reflash the 5.0 when I get it.

Or does the tuner automatically get loaded with the tunes that I sent in. I'm not certain of how this works.

thanks.

When you first order your tuner and answer the questions, the tuner will come with the tunes loaded on the handheld tuner and ready to flash your ECU. The tunes loaded will be based on your information you provided.

Sweet. I'm assuming that I can just contact Bama to update my tunes if I add more mods on later and they will add them again?

Yeah literally it is a phone call, they put a 0$ order through and then you do the form again. Very easy. I've never waited more then 5 mins on the phone and usually get the tunes in 1-2 days.
