Fog lights

My v6 was in a little fender bender. By that I mean giant hole and a messed up hood. I'm doing a GT nose swap and am going with the fog lights. What makes the fog lights work? I only have the standard halogen lights on the premium package. Do I need a new headlight switch control for them or no?

If its like a 99-04 you can just wire GT fogs to your ambers constant power wire to turn them on and off with your headlights so you dont have to pay for a new harness

They are wired into your main light relay. Basically you pull the knob and bam your fogs are up and running. But for sure they can be ran another way. I would suggest piias. I thing that's spelt correct. Anyway there kits will come with some sort of relay just wire it under your dash and your styling..

So ill need the new headlight switch with the fog light option? Then just tap into the amber lights? I have daytime running lights as well. Will the lights only come on when I pull the switch out or will it come on when I turn on the parking lights?

To make it easy on yourself I would just run them to a separate toggle switch under your dash. It will be less of a headache..

Or maybe take them and run them with the lighting wires into the new switch so its all stream lined. It looks like a mess to me under a new v6 hood without the plastic engine covers.

I would say go gt/cs and grill fog lights. I really like the barrage of lights. People get the F*** out of your way when they see these.

You need to add the old school KC light bar / bumper... You don't have enough lighting!!!

Since you say you have fog lights from it being a Premium, you already have the harnesses and headlight control switch needed. As long as you're just going to have the grille fog lights and not the lower GT/CS fog lights, all you should need is the H11-to-H10 adapter harness. It gives you the extra length that you need and it changes the plug so that they can be used with the new H10 bulbs that go in the GT grille fog lights.

I have no fog lights. They subbed the fog lights for daytime running lights sadly.

Funny, people see me in the day with daytime runnin lights but at night they see two giant headlights. Oh yeah no one sees my blinkers in the front because my lights are on. Kinda makes me feel like I'm in the wrong sometimes. :/ my body shop guy says he knows how to install the new switch and lights and it'll take an extra day. Fine by me, insurance is paying
