shifter question

I'm experiencing the same 2-3 problems my 05 stock shifter had. It feels like it locks me out at high rpms. Is anyone else having this problem with the stock shifter. If I have to go aftermarket, what shifter will have the feel of stock but work. I want to keep the stock feel so my ol lady can drive my drunk azz home when she needs to. Thanks TC

Well, the Barton shifter and bracket will solve the 2-3 shift issue, but it certainly doesn't keep the stock shifter feel. It's much move "heavy duty" feeling and "thunk - thunks" into gear. Personally, I like it - some people not so much.

Mgw was at the top of my short list.
Just look at the MGW and then look at the Barton. The MGW is a beast of a shifter. Also reading reviews minus one guy on here who seemed really flaky I have never seen anything bad about the MGW shifters. I have read more than a few about the Barton.

I am not saying the Barton will be bad, but honestly the mgw will be better.

I plan on buying the MGW. I didn't know they made shifters until I came on here, next thing I know I see them everywhere. Shop near me I'm doing a dyno with tomorrow stands behind and pushes MGW for both mustangs and camaros that they work on.

Yeah I honestly think that is going to be my Christmas birthday present to myself. Even if I can't install it for a little bit with winter here.

+1 definitely a strong shifter. Night and day difference. I like mine. Precise shifts and no missing gears.
