somewhere else . Since some of the FI units reuse the stock one, there is no reason to buy the 73mm.

Put that money into something awesome!

If you want to accelerate faster, regear the rear end.

Lcas = lower control arms
Uca= upper control arm
4.10 gear = is the rear axel gear. 4.10 means the gear turns 4.10 times to fully rotate the cars rear wheels once. 3.73 for example would mean for every 3.73 times the rear gear spins the rear wheels fully rotate.

Gears installed should be around the same price as a TB to purchase. I would check AmericanMuscle for some more opinions and reviews.

About $150 + install ($300-$400ish)... They make a big difference off the line.

Agreed unless you have a 6 speed I'd stick with a 3.73 or 3.90

That's less than I paid, I had bearings and all my seals replaced at the same time, I paid 650-700.

Not true. My 08 has 4.10s
I picked it up in Charlotte, NC. Was about 970 miles back home. I averaged 24mpg on the way back. And I average 19 city/mpg
That's my math. Not factory specs

I was told this buy a local shop that has done a lot of 3.73 and 4.10 gear installs that the 4.10 didn't really kill MPG as much as people said.

I was plenty happy with the 3.73 though. If it wasn't a daily driver I would have considered 4.10s

Mines a daily driver, as much as I hate it, but not for long. It's all in driving style.
I only get in the gas when I have a ricer in my sights or a camaro. I was thinking about backing down to 3.73s, but I did some math, and I saw no reason to swap out my 4.10s. 4.10s pull hard too. I love em. I'll never get rid of them.

My car came with 3.90's. I'm undecided if I want to back them down to 3.73's.

But now an 08 and an 11-13 is not an apples to apples comparison now is it? Different transmissions and different gears. The new autos have 4.17's for a first gear. Couple that with 4.10's and all you'll get is wheel spin and a car that shifts into 2nd gear after about ten feet. All the fastest N/A autos run 3.31's. granted those cars have different converters.

ViperTran, a throttle body for what you have would be a waste. When you say BBK tune, is that really what you have? I've never heard of their tune.
