I like the black. Just switched from stock grey wheels to black myself. There are pictures of both in my profile.

Musskao,
How hard would you like me to shove? Were it me, I'd go black!

I have wanted to do my wheels for a long time! But, I went through such a major ordeal! The tire company had to purchase another complete set of four wheels due to their machine scratching the first set like my current wheels. They were none too happy either. Yet, they made good their promise but, swore they would not make that mistake twice. I needed to find another company to do the tire switch. Which l did at their expense. So, l guess mine will stay the color they are, at least for now!

If you were gunmetal grey, I would say black. In the blue, I think grey, myself.

I'd be willing to guess the designers grew up in the 60s &70s. Old school muscle cars were jacked up and the widest tires you could find were put on the rear. I know ppl hate when the tires stick out past the wheel wells, I personally love the look.

I like some rake on a drag car, that's just me though. But not tires past the fop of the rear fender. I'm a mini-tub and narrowed axle guy myself though the old school muscle look can be pulled off if done right. My '69 Firebird had 10" rears that stuck out about 2" and looked pretty cool IMO.

Plasti dip just looks cheap and is just a cheap way of doing it. You can paint the rims whatever color you want and have it look better than plasti dip. I was going to paint my brembo rims but since the paint already is crap from factory I'm using them as winter rims and getting rtrs for summer.

I dunno about them looking cheap. I agree a good shiny painted/powder coated wheel looks great, but honestly my rims plasti dipped look great. I get compliments on them all the time. Constantly having people asked me if I paid 800+ for them.

One thing I noticed, is it was almost like the plasi dip settled over a weeks time or so. I honestly thought it looked cheap the first few days, but then stopped looking at them, and now they look great. I do have a few flaws in mine, but that is my own fault for rushing. If I wasn't planning on buying 19 or 20 inch rims I would redo them. so the few imperfections I have wouldn't be there, but apart from that, which is my own fault for rushing, they look fantastic.

The only thing I can say bad about it is they look funny after going through a car wash and they do the tire shine and it gets on the rims, it makes the matte finish look funny haha. I dunno if this would be all matte finished rims or just is a characteristic of plasti dip. I just wipe them down after and it is fine.

Definitely black. I still have those stock rims myself, but I only run them in the winter/fall. Then I switch to my black Forgestars in the spring/summer.
