When will the 14' be revealed?

The 12' and 13' were shown in November the past few years, but this time, no 14'. Anyone know why? Does anyone know when they will finally show it?

Maybe the 14 is going to be the same as the 13, which will make no need for a showcase.

Any guesses, educated or not, as to when Ford may open the order book? When first shipments of 2014s may start?

I would guess that they will announce it/show it some time this month and start taking orders some time at the end of next month. That would be my guess. IDK for sure though. It will look almost exactly the same as the 13', minus a few changes. But those few changes are driving me crazy! That's why I want to see it now!

Its my understanding that orders have been open since mid to late Nov for thr 2014 with shipments arriving at dealers in Feb. Pretty sure I saw that here in the forums or maybe it was another of the Mustang Forum pages.

Orders are not open yet. You can't order a car they haven't announced yet.

Search the forums. Over on TMS they already have a sticky on 2014s ordered and ive seen responses feom Deysha (Ford Customer Service) giving build dates and ship dates.
Ford released the order guide in late Octish and prices were announced just a little after. Check with a local dealer they should have the info as well.
Search AFM forums as well they also have the details about the 2014 orders.
Its my understanding from reading and searching the various Mustang forums that the 14 is pretty much unchanged other than 2 colors(White and Candy Red changed). Price increases on GTs by +$500.

If orders were open they would have it on their website. There is no mention of it there

It's the same as it has been for a few years. Order books close on the prior MY and open for the new MY in November (though '12 ordering was extended a bit last year). Dealers wont have all the info until January and the website likely wont change until then or later, but you can book a spot in the meantime if your dealer knows what theyre doing. Mine didnt, so I got mine in late April b/c it wasnt ordered until January, while those with quality dealers got their cars starting early March IIRC. Might be a tad earlier rollout this year, though, with the lack of changes and looming 14.5/15 announcements/release(s).

Well, I won't be surprised if the headlights are different. I saw a pic of a mustang with slim front lights (a real pic, not a rendering) So I think its the 14' since it was on a 14 body.

Not at all, the past Mustangs have been announced before December. which is why it's so strange that we haven't seen the 14' yet. Which is why I made this thread.

Cool, I guess it's a 2013 without the Boss 302 anymore.

Really.. How sad.. They're pretty useful..
Seriously they are a cool gimmick, kinda, but in the grand scheme pretty pointless and just something else to break.. Good riddance IMO not a 'Muscle Car' option.

Well, that should put to rest about half the speculations. Looks like '14 is just a continuation of '13 with some minor detail package changes.

Ok, they must have added it, when the builder was first up they didn't have that. I guess since it was just launched they are still tweaking it.

Yeah probably, I wanna buy a new one and am gonna save and wait till the '15 comes out to see if I like it and if not get a '14 but I wish you could get the comfort package and the Recaros. Everybody says the Recaros are so nice and they look sweet but I wish you could get them heated and get the pony lights.

I agree, I sat in some recaros at my dealership and I have to tell you that they are the most comfortable car seats I have ever sat in. I would get them in a heartbeat if they were heated. I'm also pretty short so I need the electronic seat adjust to see over the dash haha

Haha I won't have that problem I just hate when you can't get certain things your way. Just like how you used to not be able to get the Shaker 1000 and the Nav.

The Recaros have manual height adjustment. After my last car I'm happy having no electric adjustments--fortunately the seat was adjusted perfect for me when all the electrics died in it. To me no seat heater in the race seat is kind of the point. But I'm weird that way.

Yeah I just like the pony lights, but I know you can get them aftermarket. My truck has electronic seat controls and it's not that big a deal cuz you don't change it much once you have it set. Never had heated and cooled seats so I don't think I'd mind lol.

If the recaros at least had power fore and aft and recline adjustments I wouldnt mind shelling out the $1600. My M3 had the heavily bolstered sports seat with every thing power except the thigh support extension and the were exceptional. I sat in the recaros and while very comfy the adjustment points were just a bit off for my driving position so ill sacrifice the racey look for having heated power seats. And if I ever decide to autoX or to go for track days ill pull out the power and put Sparcos in for those then swap back for daily driving...
