2013 mustang dropped on eibach pro kit (pics of install)

before drop

new parts (LCA and relocation brackets and adjustable panhard bar)

shifter bracket (stock vs aftermarket)

in this pic you see a box that is where the shifter bracket connects to. what causes the 3rd gear mis shift is the stock bracket is rubber and the box moves inside that rubber and the factory shift linkage line goes inside that bracket and by that box moving it mis aligns the shift causing you to miss the gear

after drop

the car now has no more wheel hop and now it hooks better. no body roll and it handles like an import, lol. the relocation brackets changed the pinion angle downward resulting in making the tires dig in the ground and gain traction. i also no longer miss 3rd gear. all in all it was well worth it. the car feels more planted and is actually faster because it no longer hops.

Nice write-up but, fyi, your relos aren't intended to change the static pinion angle downward. They relocate the instant centre for added or recovered plant and add more leverage to resist the pinion trying to climb the ring gear, which is what twists the housing upward.

oh ok. ya the guy that was helping me install said it changed the pinion angle resulting in more traction. he said he has never worked with those relocation brackets before so that was his thought process

Check out the video on the CJ Pony parts on YouTube on the BMR lca. Since your lowered on Eibachs u have to put it in the middle setting if lowered to get better traction... Top setting is for stock height

oh crap, will it cause any damage by being in the wrong setting? do i need to support the axle to fix this or can i just unbolt the lca and lower it down?

Looks like you've got lots of goodies on your car! It looks great! I love that color. I like the wing and the wheels (I'm guessing you dipped?). It all looks good together. Dropping the car is my next mod so this gets me pumped for it.

Not sure how to do it exactly I think your axle has to be on jack stands... I have the same BMR lca and relo bracket on order, so eventually I'm gonna attempt the install... I don't think your setting will hurt anything, your just not gonna get the full benefit and won't be planted as u should

Ok, i just got done moving the LCA to the middle hole. Wow what a difference. Before i moved it today i would just spin. Now no spin at all. On a 5-10 roll, i just mash the gas and all it does is hook, literally. Its so much faster because i have gained tons of traction. Now i cant wait for track day. Honestly the best mods you can do is the shifter bracket, LCA and relocation bracket. Car is more of an animal now. It just accelerates unbeleivably.

Just to clarify... You have the BMR LCA and relocation bracket. Which setting did you just set it on for this great hook? I was thinking of a similar set up. Thanks.

The BMR relocation bracket i have has 3 holes. There are other relocation brackets that have only 2 holes. Those are the old style brackets. I set my LCA in the middle of the 3 holes. The middle hole is for lowered cars and the bottom hole is for drag racing.

Nice car you have there. I want to get the side scoops to really complete my look. Are you planning on adding a stripe?

Thanks, no stripes for me, but might blackout the side rockers. Sometimes I like my scoops and louvers, and other days I don't. Overall, a good buy. So you set it on the middle setting. Are you lowered?

Awesome write-up, I'm diggin' all the before/after photos. I'm also glad you were able to get rid of the wheel hop, nothings worse than excessive wheel hop...

Enjoy the new suspension!

Did you change the shocks/struts when you installed the springs or are you still on the factory set? If you are on the stock set is the ride noticeably more harsh? I figure it isn't since the Eibach kit isn't an aggressive drop... But from the looks of it, it's exactly what I'm looking for.

still on stock shocks. the ride isnt too overly aggressive. more like sport feel if anything. but a lot less nose dive and squat now.

No 1.5 all around, but dont pay attention to that because one thing is what they say and the other is what they actually drop. I know two guys with hotchkis and bmr and they look 100% the same.
