totaled my car tonight :(

just wanted to let you guy know that i more then likely totaled my car tonight. one intersection is really bad near me (lots of accidents) there alot of oil on the road and when it gets even a little wet its like ice. i went through the light and the car started to slide and i couldnt save it in time and went over a car and head on into a tree at about 30-35 mph. i walked away with minor injuries. sprained left wrist and 2 cuts on my right hand. someone was looking over me. i have 1 crappy pic ill have more tomorrow

Well, ****... Glad you're ok. The car looks done for. Be sure you have your insurance adjuster have a personal look at that road. It's not gonna help you much but if enough complaints raise a stink to the city, they might repave it... Eventually. Sorry bro, sad day indeed.

I don't see how you can be mad at yourself, never seen a city let a road get that bad an not deal with it. Specially if you are loosing that much control at that speed. Time to sue that city.

Glad your OK though!

one of the cops that came actually said that intersection and the one before it and was even in her own accident in the same spot because of it.

just glad to know a member of the ME family is still with us after that...she's totaled from what i can tell...if the insurance company says otherwise i'd push for the total anyways because honestly you aren't getting that back up to 100%. I know it sucks to lose a stang i've totaled one before due to a hydroplane accident. Just breath deep and move forward

I am sooooo glad to hear that your injuries were no worse than they were, especially by the looks of your car. Your car can be replaced, YOU can not be. Take it easy for a couple of days, more than likely, you'll be sore and although you may not realize it now, you may have hurt neck. My brother also hit a tree head on but, going twice your speed. He wasn't so lucky. Yes, someone was indeed was watching over you.

So glad you are OK. Seems a bit ironic you work for a collision repair shop but at least the insurance adjuster will know not to try to pull a fast one on you! Dang!

Cars are like women...easily replaced and usually are a wreck.
As long as you can walk away, there are more cars in your future.
Note to self: Stay away from known slick spots.
