brake upgrade?

I have 2011. 5.0 auto..dd/some track use. My brakes are coming to the end of there life and I wanted to know what would be the best brake kit performance price wise for my situation. I also have the 18in svt wheels and not willing to chang them. I'm leaning towards brembos but know little on the brake kit market. I know there are saleen/roush/stoptech and many others but all of them seem to be over a couple of grand. The car is stock for now but plan on modding later to between 500-600hp. So it would be nice to just upgrade once and be done with the brakes.

They are all great choices. You just need to do some research to see if they will work with your wheels.

Yes.. Fitting them to the wheels is a must.

It has been a while since I've looked at brake kits, but one thing I suggest, is if they don't come with stainless steel hoses make sure to get a set. Tire Rack seems to have the best price on them.

A lot of options depending on long term goal..

Stage3motorsports has great prices and the best selection of kits. They will price match and free shipping... But I've rarely seen anyone with better prices.

You can call them and. (Gasp) they pick up the first time.

Svt/brembo, Baer, Roush, steeda, roush((stoptech), wilwood, and Shelby.

The saleen 1 Piece rotor/4 piston kit (if you can find it) is extremely reasonable... $1200 if I recall. Same price as the brembo/svt kit.

^ the Roush kit is a steal! Stoptech is a really good brand. From experience it is worth every penny. I've spent countless hours fixing my stock brakes ugh! Ford OEM brakes aren't the best in my opinion. I've fixed my fronts more than I care to. On all 4's I've spent near $800 + my time to fix the ones I have.

And the Zinc coating is a nice feature ugly rotors are a detractor.

I actually ended up buying the Roush kit (1pc 4 piston). They had a sale where they were $1620.

Huge improvement over stock. I so had considerable issues from the day I had the car with the drivers side rear... Cyclical clicking... Warped rotor. Ford refused to replace the rotor... But were kind enough to keep throwing pads at it. They blamed my 20's. ( ok ).

So I got the steeda rear upgrade and put hawk HPS pads... Rears are solid now.

Exactly what happened to me except it's my drivers side front. They were willing to replace the caliper and charge me $800 for rotors, pads and fluid flush.

Apparently this brake issue runs across F150's all the way back to the probe.

You'd think by 2011 they would have worked these issues out. 6 years on the same chassis and components.

Just an FYI, the Saleen brakes for the 2011 are made by Stoptech. My 2011 came with the 14 inch upgrade... Dust like an SOB but they sure as hell stop...
