Usually means either maxxing out rpms or maxing out the speedo...both of which arent smart.

Anything can happen these days. You can be driving normal and your car can blow up from the fuel line leaking. Ex I had a friend whose has another friend that bought a new roush and something happened to the fuel line and the car bursted into flames he got out unscaved but his car burned to the ground on the highway and from what I heard it was the manufactures fault don't know what came out of it I'm sure he got alot of money and a new car out of it.

Took the explanation from a different forum but it sums it up. Has to do with your maf sensor.

"The pcm can only take 0.0 to 5.0 volts output from the maf.

You mod the motor to the point the additional airflow generates 5.0 volts at less than redline thus you "peg the maf""

---------- Post added at 08:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:12 PM ----------

It definitely doesn't have anything to do with your car spontaneously combusting
