Pypes off road problem

Just got my pypes off road h pipe in. On one of the pypes it's not fully welded down. That black line in the picture is a hole. The other pipe isn't like that. That's a big problem, right?

if it is going to cause the exhaust to leak, yes.

That looks like an unfinished weld.

Amazon had it for a cheaper price. I now realized that was probably a terrible idea. Should I get someone to weld it for me? Or should I take up an issue with Amazon. I was planning to install tomorrow, but now...

Wow, that's some bs. As easy as that would be to finish the weld I'd still return it on principle alone. Make em pay for sure! I'm sure you're excited to put them on but I wouldn't put up with that. Why pay someone else to finish their work?!

I'm definently going to call up amazon in a second. Still slapping myself in the face. This is what happens when you don't use AM just one time...

Yeah, that's not cool at all, I wouldn't install that on my car. An exhaust leak can kill you under the right combination of circumstances.

That being said, Amazon is pretty great, I use it for a LOT of stuff. They offer free 2 day shipping on a lot of items if you subscribe to the Prime service. It's like $70 a year but well worth it if you buy a lot online like I do. Out of all of my orders with them, i've had maybe 1 issue in hundreds of purchases over the past few years.

It will be cheaper just to get that piece welded instead of paying a new shipping

Talked to customer service. After about an hour of constantly being on hold, their sending me a new set, and compensating me $40. Not bad! But this is the second issue I've had with them in a month, so I probably won't be using them for my car mods anymore.

Good point, but you would think that amazon would make sure the products they were shipping out where not defective. I don't know. Anyways, I've heard some pretty bad things about their mufflers, but good things about these midpipes. Think they were a bad buy?

amazon doesn't make sure the manufacturer does there job. Same reason I hated working retail, it was the selling companies fault the product was bad, never the MFG, at least that is how most people treated it.

Personally I would have purchased the JBA O/R H Pipe from AM. JBA stuff is fantastic.

It's a joke. He means it was made at 4:00 PM on a Friday, they hurried it up to get the hell off work for the wknd, and screwed it up trying to do it quickly

My buddy got the pypes AB mufflers, and had a similar issue with the hanging that brackets were barely tacked on. He was so excited he just put them on and not even a week later both brackets broke.

I've seen a lot of pypes products like this. It's a very cheap product. This isn't amazons problem at all. All they do is receive a box, stamp an amazon shipping label on it and ship it out. It never gets opened and never gets inspected. Just like a wall mart doesn't inspect cereal for razor blades. They're just distributors.

JBA After-Cat Mustang H-Pipe - 3in to 2.75in (11-13 GT) 1785SH - Free Shipping!

my recommendation right here. I have the X pipe version, and probably should have done this one as I like the deeper sound, but I am extremely happy with their product. It is built like a tank, and was perfectly welded.

it does...not sure why it says after cats above it...AM goofing up things....here is the box list.

What's in the box?
(1) H-pipe
(2) down pipes
(4) Bolts
(4) Nuts

it comes with the cat delete pipes...

I would suggest calling AM, but it should be the same as this

Depends on how skinny you are! I did my O/R X pipe with ramps under the front wheels. That was it. I am a rather skinny guy though.

I picked up 2 more. Lifted one side up and got it on jacks, when I was almost high enough on the other side the jack I was cranking basically fell and threw itself off the jacks on the other side. Scariest moment of my life...
