Used sct tuner... Or new...?

What are the pros and cons about used tuners?

Used can be cheaper but get one that's unlocked, well new is new more pricey

if it's unlocked go for it! If its locked you'll save hassle if nothing else!

yeah if it's locked your usually paying like 150 dollars to get it unlocked I believe. If you can find one thats unlocked then definately go for it. otherwise it may be best to just spring for a new one.

$150 to unlock, 150 for tunes for life, so that's 300. Not including what u pay for the used tuner.

Correct, I have a used one I can't hardly give away. Even if it is unlocked, when you buy it, they ask for your PCM #. That leaves me to belive they won't just work on any car.
