2011-13 GT MPG Input

Hey guys! Curious again and checking- What are you averaging for MPG? and along with that include your complete setup (car, gears, mods, heavy foot, etc), and how much of your driving is highway and city.

Also, what are guys able to squeeze out of your Stangs if you shift before 2k, skip-shift, etc?

On top of this all, PLEASE! No, "You bought the wrong car for MPG", "Who bought a mustang for mileage", or any stuff like that. This car would be a DD and I need to take all expenses into consideration. I appreciate it.

Lol it's simple if you care about mpg go trade the 5.0 in on a 3.7 or a Prius lol the v6 gets awesome mpg and has balls but most of us when we bought are 5.0 weren't thinking of how much we would pay at pump . That being said I have intake and bama tune I get 16-18mpg keeping rpms between 1-2k and when I'm really driving 13-14 mpg

I would have bought the new 5.0 even if the advertised mpgs were 5.

11GT, axle back, sportline springs, stock otherwise. I get 16-18 with no highway driving all driving back and forth to work less than 2 miles each way.

I have gotten 25 on one tank with mostly highway driving back and forth from a hospital 20 miles each way everyday for a week.

My 11 is still bone stock with 4200 miles and getting about 17mpg. This spring the modding will begin...but as many said I did not think about mpg when I got this ride. I have my daily driver that gets me 24 to 26 which I do care about.

2012 auto. Avg 18 to 19 with a kind of heavy foot. 3.15 gears. only mod is exhaust.

---------- Post added at 10:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:17 PM ----------

And very little highway driving. If I can get to where I need to go without highway. Then I'll go the back roads and enjoy my car.

13 GT/CS, average 24 city/highway. Live 15 miles from town on a windy, hilly road and get 22 regular, not gentle on car, automatic. Have 1K miles on it since new, and mpg keeps crawling up.

Wow that's a great commute to work, where I live it's all heavy traffic, crappy roads, and bad drivers... That's why I drive my Stang on weekends or night so I can actually enjoy it... I drive normal on a 13 Focus and average about 22-23 mpg

2013 GT, manual, 3.31 gears, 7,200 miles on it.

In town usually 17-18 mpg, highway 24-25 mpg. Tomorrow I will be driving from Columbus, Ohio to Holland, Michigan and back, so will report on the mileage for the road trip. Should be about 600 miles or so.

OK - actually drove a little over 700 miles yesterday, speed in Ohio was 72 mph, in Michigan 78-80.

First tank = 24.1 mpg, second tank = 24.88. Both fill-ups were 93 octane. Weather was pretty bad - very stong winds and some snow so that probably knocked the mileage down a little. Also have Pirelli Scorpion winter tires on the car which are probably softer than standard summer or all season tires.

Despite the weather a great drive - the Mustang really makes a great road car!

Just an update, installed the K&N cold air intake kit yesterday. It was a surprisingly simple install, no mods needed. All the new cars are designed for cold air from the front of the car, which is a high density air mass for maximum H.P., however, these cars are so friggin' powerful, that if you remove the adaptor boot from the front of the car to the air filter housing, then the air will be warmer, which means that the same air/fuel ratio will result in higher mpg. I also went with synthetic oil as the car is at 1K miles. Both should result in higher mpg than the 24 that is normal. Have yet to drive the car, will post the results then.

18.5 mpg. 2013 GT Premium. Less than 2000 miles. Manual Transmission, 3:55's, standard 18" wheels. GT 500 AB's. +/- 40 miles of interstate to work & back. This is primarily my wife's DD & she usually leaves too late & makes up her time on the freeway (75-80 mph). I"m thinking I could do 1 or 2 mpg better.

6 speed 3.73 gears, all mods in my sig, and I do 80 on the highway for about 60 miles a day. 3-4 days a week then maybe 10 miles of street driving on the other 3-4 days a week I am off work.

I average 19.2 to 19.4 MPG.

just saying

Up to 18.5. Been climbing .1 per day on average. This thing is like a 400+ Horsepower Prius. Just broke 1K miles today.

Lol.
consistent stop and go. it's a small city. real small lots of people driving. farthest drive daily is like 3 miles to the gym lol and it's all stop lights. that was when I first got all my mods so I drove like a mad man so the average isn't going much higher till I reset it
