My friend was doing a PDI and the car burst into flames and he lost control of it and went into a pole. Brand new 2014 5.0

Hope the guys alright, that said. I highly doubt the car just burst into flames, if so why wouldn't he just stop and get out. I think a high HP car + wet road + young driver = disaster. These cars are no joke even to an experienced driver on wet roads.

They said he was slowing down to turn in and there was a loud pop and smoke then he tried to keep it away from the lot and that's when it hit the pole and caught fire. He's like 32 he is a ford tech

Slowing down? Perhaps downshifted to hear the exhaust. Perhaps downshifted to to low of a gear, threw the rpms way to high, pistons started popping out of the cylinder heads?

Wild guess...

People jumping into something with power they have never witnessed and thinking they've harnessed it well. Mine has been in 3 accidents in the last year. All which were not my fault. One was when it was parked and a woman in a big truck tried making a sharp turn around my parked car and hooked fender? Another a guy came into the same lane as me without looking and pushed me into a boulevard and last one a woman turned and thought she had enough time and I t boned her. Front bumper has been replaced 3 times and front fenders twice now lol

Sounds like defensive driving might help.

Don't need defensive driving. Defend a car getting hit when your not there? Good advice. Defend from someone trying to turn last second before collision? Even better advice. Someone side swiping you when they are beside you? Best advice for defensive driving. Spend less time trolling and you won't look as stupid as you do already.

Lol, 3 wrecks in one year. Not saying any were your fault but, They call it defensive driving for a reason.

---------- Post added at 05:37 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:35 AM ----------

Don't think he was trying to be offensive but accidents and having your car get bashed in while parked can be prevented... In parking lots or streets u can try not to park it in harms way... Wedging it in spots around alot of ppl that dont really value thier cars 9 times out of 10 something is bound to happen eventually... U can park further away to prevent that. Or even driving on the roads, just keep your distance... When I drive I always assume ppl can't drive especially looking at their body language behind the wheel I just stay away from them and prevent things. All my cars stay ding free and accident free cuz I keep my distance, I'm not saying you can't drive but sometimes ppls egos get the best of them.
