2013 GT500 Exhaust

Just ordered the 2013 GT500 Exhaust yesterday, tracking info says it gets in on Valentines day. Can't wait to get them on, pictures will be up once its all hooked up.
Anyone with the experience of doing this mod, is it a tough/expensive install, if y'all could comment with y'alls remarks it would be appreciated. Thanks!

Very easy mod and just takes times and measuring twice before doing anything. You will not encounter any problems everything is straight forward. Good luck and it will help if you do it on ramps!

Also get ready to answer questions about it because people ask me about my exhaust ALL the time.

Are yours the same as the GT500 axle backs because they look different in your picture.
And I'm only installing the axle-backs, my dad is making me get the valance put on at my dealer, which sucks.

That is fine at lease you know it will come out perfect or you will get a new bumper
I also have just axle backs and they are Borla stype.

Yes they make a quad tip - I have them on my 2013 GT500. Sound awesome!

Yes they do, it is a little more pricey but sounds gooooood. Here is a video of a comparison i did with my friend.

We are not actors and was our first time in front of a camara.
We have been contacted by hollywood to do a movie but we turn them down lol.

IDK I dont really like the raspy sound the borla gives, they are still alot nicer than the stock exhaust. But i got the GT500 ones and i do like how they sound(in your vid, and the latemodel resto vid.)

Mine aren't raspy but they are on a GT500 so they have a low aggressive growl.

Man but 99.9% of the comments give the win to the borla. Here are a few more videos.
Also the tips on the stock gt500 are so hidden and you cant even tell from a distance. As you can see in the video they dont even show lol.

Both sound good but imo borla is just better in quality and looks. My friends stock gt500 has some rust spots and the borla looks shiny and clean.

I guess i should say they sound too much like a stock car for me, i want the deep rumble of the classic muscle car.
My bad.

But the gt500 are literally stock mufflers from another car. Like a v6 getting gt mufflers.

But yea it is your car and you have to live with it everyday and as long as you like them go for it.
Post some pics after it is all done.

Yea but they are also going onto a smaller engine so it is a little of a different sound then on the car that they come from. Nonetheless borla is still a great sound, i was originally going to get the s-type duals, but ended up going w/ these.
And yes once it is done pics will go up, i just hope the dealer dont bleed me dry w/ install cost.

Would have been better off with the s-types if you wanted deep rumble. I promise, I have them. The GT500 mufflers just won't be the same.

Well one day, maybe after i put my S/C in, but for now these are what i got. Plus i wanted the quad tip, but never knew that Borla even had them. So honest mistake yes, but i will still be more happy w/ these than the stock mufflers.

nice, I bought the same kit, but am now think of going with the corsa w/blk tips. I have the boss side pipe kit but I have not decided if Iwant to still use quad exhust with the Boss side pipes, seems like a lot of noise and to much going on, would most likely delete the sides all togeather. I was shopper crazy. I was one of the first orders to recive the 13. I ordered it while I was overseas and I recieved it before the dealerships recived thiers. So I bought a lot of stuff to install but had no time getting back to the states and getting moved in an then turned around to deploy. SO I am trying to be smart about what money I spend from mow on. I already have a garage full of parts that will never see my car becasue I found a new part I like better.

Some time this month or the other i will be getting long tube headers with off road h pipe and with a custom side pipe. Look at american muscle and their boss 302 with a similar setup.
If i was you i would do it.

The corsa kit is about $100 cheaper if you go with the chrome tips. The profile of the tips is about the same I think. I just wanted to be a little different. I hope that Trufiber will make a Carbon fiber diffuser soon. I have a the front splitter and side diffuser in carbon fiber, just waiting on the rear diffuser.
