Any experience on ACM data reload after steering wheel upgrade?

I was given a Boss 302 steering wheel for my 2011 GT as an upgrade from the base model it came equipped with. I installed it the second I could rip the packaging off. Anyway, has any one have any experience in having a dealer with an IDS machine reload the ACM data for the audio controls?

From what I can gather it can be a cumbersome process depending on how well the computer wants to behave. If all things are 5 X 5 takes approximately 30 minutes, if things go Tango Uniform can take about 90 minutes. The dealer here has agreed to do the work, if I agree not to be pissed if it doesn't work completely. They say out the door either way is about $120.00. While I want the audio controls to work, is it worth it?
