VIN Sequence - How early was your 2011GT rolled off the line.

The last six numbers of your vin represent the numerical production on your car less 100,000. For example my VIN is 135922 making mine 35,922 of the production year. So WHO has the earliest model for production year 2011?

GTYUP =. 35,922

Technically yes, but in this case just trying to see who was the earliest in the production.

Same way...take last six digits and subtract 100,000. To the best of my understanding this has been the numbering for many years.

Dealers and the Internet never lie.......... It would be my opinion that your 12 was made late in 2011, not exactly sure on the production run dates but yours based on that sequence would be well at the end of the production year.

My last six of the VIN are: 104259.

So guess that makes mine 4,259.

No problems at all with mine. Runs great.

Wow.... The plant kicks out approx 680 Mustangs per day so for 2011 there were 68,659 or 101 build days. That means yours rolled off the line around the 6th or 7th build day. Mine was rolled out around the 52nd day or right about half way.

You might not be the earliest...but kinda cool that both your Mustangs most likely rolled off on the same day or not more than one day apart.

The only issue I've had were the clutch bolt issues. That was fun. My MT82 is notchy when cold, but no issues. And I haven't had the #8 cylinder issue because I haven't tuned mine, yet. That's happening when the 3.73's go in this year

Some #8 cylinder issues happened w/o tuning, that y I think this thread is good cuz it's a possibility that some of the issues that happened were on the earlier builds. I don't see too many 2013s with major issues at all.

Good to know. I haven't read much on it because I wasn't too worried about it. I read about forum "car problems" and take them with a grain of salt

Very cool. Different cars and locations which makes it even more interesting. Mine (premium GT) has been in Texas and it looks like lonewolf has a California Special in West Virginia.
