Recently, I stuck some 35 watt HIDs into the grille fogs on my '12. The annoying thing remains the shutoff of the fogs when the highs go on. So I started poking around and the only solution thus far required alot of cutting of wires and relay crap to the SJB in the interior.
Figuring there had to be an easier way, I tapped battery positive to the input positive for my HIDs and et voila, fogs stay on...all the time and don't respond to the switch anymore.
Now, I could just tap a switched source underhood and call it done but, that leaves the fogs on all the time and they are pretty too bright for that.
So, simple, SPST switch unobtrusively buried in the interior, hooked up to 12v + battery (if you can remember to turn it off when you leave the car) or switched 12v + if you can't, tapped into one side of the lamp power and, done. Fogs + highs when you want them, and a simple 2 wire loom to hide underhood.
