What is the best choice of fluid to run? I'm having the cold shift problem bad.

It's a tough question to answer for these cars, I've been using Redline MTL for a few days so far and it's been pretty good so far, still not perfect but better, it gets better as I drive it.... The earlier MT82 builds came with a heavier fluid (I believe all 11s and the earlier 12s) and then Ford started using the dual clutch fluid which is a lot thinner, I think there's a TSB that changes to this fluid... The thinner dual clutch fluid probably did fix the crunchier cold shifts but some have been getting more whine from the trans... The Redline MTL is right in between these fluid as far as viscosity, try googling Redline MTL review and see if it fits u... Everybody has different experiences, so u definitely gotta fish around until u get a more clear answer since there really isn't a definite answer to the MT82 issues... Good luck!!

I'm running Amsoil MTG, and it's amazing when the weather is warm and the transmission is up to temp. You really have to baby it when the trans is warming up, and cold weather driving is out of the question. This wasn't an issue for me since my stang is a "fair weather toy" anyways, but if you DD the car I would probably stick with the factory fill or Redline MTL.
