Superchargers

Any of yall have the Edelbrock charger on your 5.0 mustangs?
If so what are yall's numbers at the wheels and what are the possible numbers at wheels if you tuned for more boost?
Also if you have the Roush phase 2 s/c what do you think of it?

I've heard horrible things about the edelbrock as far as aftermarket upgrades and reliability. Supposedly the system is very hard to tune, and tuners have had many issues with the drive by wire system and that blower. Having said that, I've got 0 experience with that blower, and I'm only telling you what I have heard.

I've sold quite a few phase II kits, one is installing this week. So far everyone seems to enjoy them, its a much better tune than the original Roush base 525 kit.

I run a paxton with stock pulley on my daily driven 2012. Can't go wrong with stock like feel under 3k and bat out of hell over 4k.

Ive actually started to look into the paxton and vortech chargers, I am going to go w/ one of the centrifugals after looking at the efficiency ratings and a few other numbers($$$). In the end the paxton is more down my alley.

So are centrifugal superchargers kinda like Vtec? You're driving along, hit the gas and you start going fast and then all of a sudden at a certain rpm range "Vtec kicks in yo" and you're hauling with 600+ hp?

Just kiddin around but thats basically KIND of comparable as far as what you feel while driving it?

lol, I would say best way to describe is belt driven turbo, some power increase under 4k, but different car over 4k and all the way until you shift, which is perfect for roll racing, or highway pulls. I like the power with rpms because it is easier to launch on street tires vs instant torque.
