302 decal /emblem on a 5.0?

Any body have a problem putting a 302 on the new 5.0. Isn't the. 5.0 a. 302. Saleen puts. 302 on there stangs. Just saying. 302 is fine without the boss portion unless it is boss. Mine isnt. Just asking bc I would like to add the saleen. 302 sticker that is on the side panel above the. 5.0 emblem.

Just don't go over board. I love these cars but some people go too far with stickers, decals badges etc. I saw a 5.0 black and it just had every little thing you could image on it. I mean if you like it it's fine. It's just what I thought. I took a picture, it's hard to see all of them cuz it's black but in person it's like overload haha

Picture doesn't show front plate with ford racing and front windshield decal

I personally like my cars clean without decals. Maybe a little something but nothing noticeable.
If I was you I would finish building the car and then see if you really want a sticker.

Does the 5.0 have a 302 cubic inch engine? Yes! 302 on the side is completely acceptable and bad a$$ awesome. Heck, put the Boss striping on it. Just don't have the words Boss cut out in the striping.

The 5.0 on the fenders says more than enough... I think adding 302 on top of it will seem like too much IMHO, unless u remove the 5.0 to replace with the 302 badge, it'll look cleaner

I would agree with you on that. If someone wants to put the 302 on the sides then the 5.0 emblem needs to be taken off. It looks much much cleaner that way. Remove the 5.0 emblem, buy a new one and place it on the right or left side of trunk.

At one time I had removed the 5.0 badges because I thought it was to much with the 302 on there so I bought a set of 2010 GT badges and put them on and what confusion that caused. people had no idea what I had but most thought I had a 2010 and thought I just tossed the 302 on there for the heck of it. After going threw to much bashing and saying I downgraded my car to a 2010 I removed the badges and put another set of 5.0's on. I had thought of buying the oem Powered By Ford badges that were found on the Shelby's but I have not seen them in person yet so Ill have to wait to see a set first since there like $80.00 plus.

Good Idea, the power by ford badge looks top notch quality. In my local club a 10 gt has it.

I put this on my hood. Saw it in another car and thought it was a nice touch. I had to get rid of the hash marks after doing this, though. It was just too much otherwise.

I have 302 centercaps in my wheels and a vanity plate that says "BAAD 302" but that's about it. I always find it funny when people think it's a boss just because I have the Boss manifold. Sometimes I correct them, sometimes I just let them ramble on in their own world.

Your stang looks great with those SMS 302 decals. I had an 08 Shelby GT with the Powered By Ford emblems and agree they would work very well, maybe better than the 5.0 emblems.

I added similar 302 decals to my 2013 GHIG GT along with my satin black 5.0 emblems. However, I do like your 302 decals better. I e-mailed Saleen in hopes that they still have some for sale in black. Do you remember what you paid for them? -TIA

Below are some photos of my stang.

The 5.0 would look good if it weren't so damn big, kinda like that bigass faux gas cap.

302 is fine....5.0 is metric and 302 is cubic inches...I would say you could put the BOSS stickers on it if you did the Boss upgrade's...it wouldn't be a real boss, but it would be close.
You can look at it like....putting a boss sticker on a regular GT 5.0 is like putting a 5.0 badge on a 6 banger or an old GT4.6.

It's kind of like waaay back in the day when I had a (Real) Probe GT-S and people running around with 4banger probes with GT-S stickers on them....

I have no desires to put Boss stickers on my GT. I owned a 2012 Boss and I am much happier with my GT!

The GT has no issues like a clutch pedal hanging up near the floor during high RPM shifts, like the Boss. Having no working clutch takes all the fun away when you're trying to race. Each time the clutch would recover from this after a few seconds. The dealership could not replicate the same condition with normal driving. Ford engineers were already aware of the problem before I reported it. I was just told that they would document what I had experienced, and I would be contacted should they later publish a TSB on it. To this day no TSB has been issued. The problem can be fixed with an aftermarket clutch. I just chose to replace the Boss with a GT with a 6-spd automatic, including a few extras that weren't available on the Boss.

BTW, I was able to order those 302 chevrons from Saleen over the phone, same price. Thanks.

Here's a new photo with the SMS chevrons installed. I like them much better than the previous decals that I had installed.

Hey in my day we did not put anything on the hood we wanted it to be a surprise. to the guy starting the thread, its your car do what you like, everyone will have there own opinion, but yours is the only one that counts for you.
If you put a bunch of decals on your car, i just won't ask to drive it lol.

That clutch problem is caused by a clutch assist spring the hanging up part after that is removed it doesn't hang up but may not come all the way back out and thats from the cluth fluid line the stock one is to small

I think the 302 stickers look great but remove the 5.0 emblems. It's redundant. I guess you could say it's multi-lingual. I still have a set of 302 emblems from a 1968 Torino, they might look cool.
