New GT owner

Well I traded my sixxer in Saturday for a new 13 candy apple red 5.0! I am in love she is everything I hoped she would be! I have been around the site for a few months but just wanted to introduce myself on the gt forum. I already have a bama tuner but figured I should wait a few thousand miles before I tune. Now I assume that since I have the tuner and set my car back to stock before I traded it I can use this tuner for my new car right?!

Congrats man! I think you need to have the Bama tuner updated to your new car because it was for a sixxer.

Congrats! Yea I would wait at least 5k miles and up to 10k before tuning. The tuner should be fine to reuse but as mentioned above, contact AM and update PCM info and get updated tunes. V6 tunes will NOT work on a GT

Congratulations on the awesome pick up, you're correct when you say the new coyote motor is a beast! Wait until you start to throw some mods on your new GT, that motor reacts to modifications extremely well.

Like listed above, your SCT device can be used on your 2013 GT. Give my Bama team a call and they'll point you in the right direction! Our Bama Performance tuning specialists are here in the building Monday-Friday from 9AM-5:30PM EST and Saturday 9AM-5:30PM EST. You can hit them up directly at 888.226.9764 and they'll get you squared away!

I love that color. I traded in my V6 on Sunday for a Grabber Blue GT. Fun 100+ mile trip home!

Congrats. I wish the lease on my Fusion was up sooner than next Jan/Feb to pick up a 13-14 but oh well. Maybe the 15 will be out in time for me..

I am really digging it I havent had a chance to drive it a lot yet but man what a difference between it and the 3.7. The sixxer was no slouch by any means but the 5.0 pulls so hard all the way through to redline! Now if I could just figure out how to use sync that lady is like siri on the iphone she doesnt understand my southern twang. lol

Now wouldnt be a bad time I know the dealership I bought mine from was running some rebate specials and interest specials, they are trying to get the 13's off the lot to make room for the 14's!

Yeah I had to sell my 11 to help my grandparents out. Now I miss having that eye catcher car. Not sure what to do yet, plus I drive a lot for work so I would be running up the mileage on it.

I know it sucked having to get rid of the car but sounds like you did it for a great reason man. Not many people would have done that and I respect anybody who is willing to help out their family like that! I hope everything is well and maybe you will be in a new 5.0 again soon!

I am digging it I had a newer six so it is very similar my six didn't have sync and power seats though. With the 5.0 I really feel like I am driving a true muscle car and I get a lot more looks in this car than I did the old one.

It's the manual I enjoy changing gears and don't have to deal a whole lot with traffic.

Congrats! Nice whip. If you're into mods, get ready for some headaches, but it's still worth it, massive power for the price!

congrats on your new beast,,bama is free tunes for life and they will upgrade your tuner to v8 status for you when you call, bama is great, but we were talking about this in another tread, that from the gates you need to drive your car hard and whip its but everytime you get in it, so by all means i say tune it, cai, exhaust, your new 5.0 wants this trust me.
