Who wants to play a guessing game?

I'm getting the mod bug after almost a year of having the car. If the weather is good this Thursday night I'm going to the track to get a stock baseline run or 2 in. If not ill wait till next week , The car is all stock except an MGW shifter I installed. Not really wanting to do a dyno baseline but I might change my mind after just so I have both.

So any guesses on what she will run? I will update after I go so we can see who got the closest. A little rundown on the car and me for some help.

Stock 2010 GT premium , Ventus v12 tires 19" , 3:31 gears ,5 spd manual, I have not been to the track in 10 + years can drive a stick pretty well , never missed a shift going down the track back then or on the street either ( knock on wood ).

Not on a stock 2010. I would guess right at 14.0 @ 103ish

Thanks for the kind guess, but I don't think it will be that low just yet , if it is I have a beast in stock form and the 3:31 tag on the rear end is for sleeper purposes. I would be ecstatic if it was 13.8 but then I wake up from my dream and I'm think its going to be 14.2 -with the gears I have!

It should've run a 13.5 once you get your launch down. A Cai and tune does wonders for the 4.6.

Well how did it go ol buddy? I've raced for years too, and I will say, these cars take some getting used to. I found leaving at idle with a few #s of air out of the tires to be the best when stock. Last time at the track I seen a GT 500 start out at 15.2, he finally got it down to 12.0. I talked the guy into leaving like he would from a stoplight, although he missed 3rd he still ran 12.

That run was a hopped up ls engine camaro, my second was against a Cadillac CTS-V that ran an almost identical time as the camaro.

Well if you cut your reaction time down and got your 60 foot where it should be you'd be in the mid-low 13s.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean that would lower his et. I more less meant he needed to do both of those things. It does no good to sleep the light, especially if the person he was up against had a 13 second car also.

Yeah don't worry about r/t at all I beat a cobalt ss last night and he seemed so disappointed that I left the light after him and still beat him! R/t means nothing unless you are really competing... Race yourself until your ready!
