exhaust cutouts

What is the stock piping size of a 2013 5.0?

And would the exhaust cut outs have to the same size as the exhaust systems piping size in order for it to clamp fit or would I need a smaller size cutout to fit the exhaust system
Piping?

Since you are talking cutouts I would assume you are placing this catback somewhere and more than 100% likely on the over the axle pipes, so stock it is 2.75 inches. If your doing cutouts most people get them welded in I believe. Since they came in 2.5 and 2.75 inches you wouldn't be able to get them "just" slightly smaller. What you can do, I suppose, is two clamps like the ones on your H pipe to OTA pipes on each side of the cutout. Probably would be cheaper to get them welded in than buying four clamps.

These kinds of clamps usually seal very tight if you have good ones.

You want to put them on the H pipe itself? THe h pipe was really weird if I remember right, I don't think the part of the pipe you are talking about is 3". It is modular but not like say the JBA I have is where the whole X pipe is 3" piping until you get to where it clamps to the OTA pipes and becomes 2.75". I have the Stock H pipe in my garage and can look at it for sure tomorrow for you if no one else knows, but there is no way it is 3" for most of the H pipe. Looking at the picture below it almost looks like 2.5" piping for most of the H pipe. Honestly though without looking at it in person again I am not 100% sure.

Looks like it goes 3" from the cats to 2.5" until it gets right to the H part of the pipe and then becomes 2.75"

You should hear this car without the cats and without any mufflers. You want to talk about loud. I don't see how a cop wouldn't pull you over for that. I thought the roush was loud, but when I switched them out for the borlas and had the roush off, I started her up just outta curiosity and it was LOOOUUUUDDDDD.

I would love to do cut outs myself for this reason, just to really mess with those select people.
