Humming sound

For about a month I've had this awful humming noise. Tried everything. I eventually took the little washers off that hold the rotor on and my car is dead silent now! I never realized those damn things were even on there! I only had time to the fronts. Doing the rears tomorrow. If you have aftermarket rims, take these things off!

You mean the little washers with the spikes that get snug in place? I'll take those off Thursday then. I just decided to be lazy and leave them. Not that I can hear humming over my exhaust.

Someone should write this on a stickie, most shop remove them but if you ordered them or w.e other reason and your installing them your self, you won't know that a small clip can affect a aftermarket rims ride efficiency

Some wheels are recessed for them, sum are not. the humm on yours is because you mounted the wheels that are not!
