I have the 2010 GT automatic, and I am already looking around for a 2013.

You'll just keep wanting more with the 2010 and you get it with the 5.0 (2011+) . I'm also looking for a stick. It's just so much more fun to drive.

Go for an 11+
Get a manual unless you drive in massive amounts of traffic.
Start with a CAI/tune & exhaust

If you want a drag racer get an auto, lots of traffic get an auto, otherwise get a manual.

My first mods would be wheels and tuner

The auto is great, in sport mode it acts like a manual very aggressive shift points and down shifts hard.

Yea but that requires a '13. Not that he can't get one in that price range, just want to make sure everyone is on the same page

That's technically a fox body (same chassis from 79-04) and who doesn't like a new edge?!

I would wait a little and try to find a 13 GT Auto. In you price range

The price should start to come down since the 14's are out.

Ya there pretty much the same. The s197 caught my eye but the 13 I had to have after seeing the tail light in night.

1. 2011 GT/CS in Grabber Blue
2. Automatic Transmission
3. Roush or Borla S Axel Backs and SCT Tuner w/BAMA Tunes from American Muscle

You can find one for around $25k with no more than 20k miles on it. Be willing to travel to get what you want, it's worth it. The GT/CS has all the features of a GT Premium with a couple if extras you'd probably add in the long run. The GB GT/CS is the color they made the least amount of. It will hold its value the best. Take the time to find one that's unmolested, drive many, don't buy the first one you fall in live with. There's always another. I say automatic even though I own a manual and wouldn't own anything else because there's many times I wish I had an auto and I can't say if I had an auto that I'd be wishing I had a manual. The Roush or Borla S Axel Backs are by far the most rewarding mufflers all by themselves. Both will make you smile every time you start your car or hit the accelerator. And a SCT tune from BAMA in the automatics is probably the most necessary modification of all. It makes it feel like a whole different car. Anything beyond this, depends on what you're trying to achieve. Take your time, be patient, have fun, do your research, and be safe. Good luck!

Agreed. In traffic, in a six, no throttle is need, so a 5.0 should be fine.

Hmm not sure what your problem is, just because you don't like one member doesn't means you need to have a bad attitude with everyone.

I know he said 13 was an option. But I don't want him think that on the 11-12 autos that there is a "sport" mode

That was a joke. You guys are uptight around here..

I was not aware the 11-12 did not have the Sport Mode: I thought the 11-13 auto were the same.

IMO : Buy used. It'll be cheaper and the initial depreciation is already gone.
Manual for sure. It's a sports car. Unless your a semi pro race car driver ETs probably aren't at the top of your priority list.
Exhaust/tune should be first mods.
The Termi is definately one of the best ever made. I was originally looking for one instead of an S197, when I saw/drove mine I knew it was the one for me.
Be patient. When you find it you'll know it.
