2013 gt transmission whine

Hey guys so when I'm driving I get this really odd transmission wine when going about 30+ and I'm kinda afraid it's somthing bad I'm going to try to take it to ford this weekend.

3.73 gears are known to whine. Not always but they do. My FRPP 3.73 gears have a very mild whine that isn't that bad.

I really wouldn't worry unless it is insanely loud.

That's a relief.

Yup. I've got an 11 with 3.73 and mine wines sometimes too. Mostly does when it's in a higher gear at low speeds. Once I get up to speed it goes away.

You have a warranty, just take it to ford just in case something is going on

Under warranty, I'd just have it checked out anyway. Better to find something wrong before the warranty is out.

What did we just flash back to 1990 here? A 6 speed Tremec and install is going to cost $5000 minimum.

Yeah, anything loouder than very faint or that appears out of nowhere is caused by a change in the relationship between the gears on the input shaft and the countershaft. This is either bearing failures or gear face wear.

Mine lost the input shaft bearings first, then that fragged alot of stuff downstream.
