18900 but I'm gonna try to get it for around 17000. It's the biggest package with the flat screen etc. and I have the 4.0 sixer so it's a big up for me lol I can't afford the 5.0 right now to many student loans.

I guess it depends on what you are looking for. You can probably find a 2011 5.0 with nearly the same mileage as that 2010 for the 22K area before negotiating. You'll spend far more than the difference between the two to get the 4.6L to beat the 5.0

I understand the student loans part. I guess i'd just feel funny getting a car with a rebuilt title and a smaller slower engine for only around 4K less than you could walk away with a 5.0 without a rebuilt title.

Well, will depend on where you live haha. I've seen a few around Cincinnati for that price. I don't really look on purpose though as I already have one haha. I do drool over the few Boss 302 that still are sitting in the area.

I know a few members on here have had to make some decent trips to get the cars they want. You can always do that and search a few hours away and make the drive if the car is worth it.

Are you trading your sixxer in too?

Yea, maybe ill look into that I'd love to get my hands on a 5.0. And yea I am the sixers are nice an all but they just don't have that sound and feel of the v8 I regret getting it to be honest.

haha be careful saying that about the sixers on here, they are a touchy bunch

I hope you can get what you want. Like i said, depends on how you want to go about it. It just doesn't seem like that car is cheap enough for a rebuilt title compared to some others floating around. A quick look where I live and there are 2010 GT with lower mileage and non rebuilt titles going for 20K.

I just know we have a few other people on here with 2010 4.6ers, not many, and they have that same feeling you have with your sixer, they wish they had gone up a step and gotten the 5.0 instead of the 4.6L. No need to make the same mistake twice man! Save some money and get the 5.0 when the time is right.

Also like I said, if you keep a further search radius out, you might actually find the car in your price range you want. I can name two people on here who made more than an hour drive to get the car they wanted at the price they wanted.

Also, biggest thing too note, I am also very biased obviously towards the 5.0 haha . So don't let me change your mind for you, but if what I said makes sense doesn't hurt to listen too me!

Thank you for the Input it's greatly appreciated. I think I will wait and try to get a 5.0 because 100+ horses is alot lol. Only thing that scares me now is insurance how much does it run you?

Good decision. I would stay away from a rebuilt title.

If you hae the time and knowhow to repair any little gremlins in the electrical system that water damaged vehicles can have, then you could benefit by the price. However, it looks like this is not a real price bargain for a rebuilt title, unless someone can show you paperwork on the repairs it had.

Like most have said, I'd walk on this one.

That is too much for a rebuilt, here in Houston that's the price they're going for with it any problems

Ya, way over priced. I rather buy a car that's been rolled a few times than one that's been in a flood, especially salt water. I don't think you'd buy a home computer that's been under water. A car would be no different. The owner of that things on drugs to even think he could get that, It's high for a perfect car and low miles.

Exactly I saw a grabber blue 2010 gt convertible with the black stripes chrome rims With low mileage asking $13000 on graigslist the other day. They also have a 06gt with 70k miles at this low end dealership for $11000 & when I get there the car wouldn't start they even tried to jump it but still didn't work. When I went home some one on this website toldme about NICB & THAT'S WHEN I FOUND IT it was a totaled vehicle....

---------- Post added at 06:29 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:28 AM ----------

Its probably one of the thousands of cars that got flooded during the storm sandy, they did say theyre going to distribute them all over the U.S.

Rebuilt title cars are ok if done correctly. My last 3 cars have had salvage titles, but i rebuilt them myself. Personally i would not buy a car that had water damage. Most likely you won't have electrical problems now, but you will down the road. Reason being that it takes time for things to corrode. The damage has been done to the electrical components and will only be a matter of time before the fail. Just my 2 cents.

Not sure how old you are or if you have kids cause that makes a dif in Texas. I pay less for my 11 than I pay for my wife's 2004 Yukon XL.

Insurance went up $5/mo for me and I went from an 04 GT to an 11 5.0. So it shouldn't be too too bad.

You have a good car now, and your 22, you can afford to wait for just the right one. I think it's already been said but if you settle again, you will always be chasing that perfect car!
Open your search to the entire US and see what other Mustangs are selling for. I drove 6 hrs to Orlando to get mine (I did make a vacation to Disney out of it though). Enjoy what you have now and hopefully that will make you enjoy the next one even more!

Missouri is a lot from what the dealership told me. Illinois isn't to bad. I'm from IL and we have an agreement with Missouri that we use our sales tax if we purchase from their state.

Exactly! This got tough for me as I'm military, bought a car in FL while living in CA to be registered in LA. Took me forever to get that straight! It all hinges on where it is to be registered.

I know, I live in Indiana and bought my car in Ohio. I over paid $800 in taxes. I even pulled up the Ohio tax law concerning out of state buyers. Some dealers don't know ther *** from a hole in the ground. The dealership finally repaid me $200, now I have to deal with the Ohio dept of revenue to get the other $600 back. Most states have an agreement with joining states, that let's you pay the taxes for the state it will be registered in, but, that doesn't mean the dealer knows the law as I found out.

If you find one at a dealer you can probably just get it shipped in to a sister dealer.

I didn't see any 2005-2009 mustangs going for 10k in the Cincinnati area. When I was looking for my 06 GT at this time last year it took me about a month to find a good one with lower miles and what I wanted for under 17k. $18900 is way steep for a salvaged title 4.6 Mustang though. Especially if it may have some electrical issues, I'd avoid that like the plague.
